October 15, 2008 at 1:01 am #109423You are right Ollie, that guy who did that to the RR motor was also an Aussie from out at Dubbo,it was 5.8 liter and he fitted it to a Z1300 frame from memory.

I have also seen a engine for one of those swamp boats with the big fan on the back with a radial engine made with 12 XR600 engines!!It was also made by an Aussie.Made by an aussie cone smoker!
There are some pretty cluey cone smokers about……….I was mistaken it was only 9 XR600 engines..
The swamp boat builders must be the cleverest people I know. They obviously realise that it takes 9 XR600 to generate any decent power. I’d feel bad telling them they could have saved some money though and just bought 1 KTM engine

AnonymousGood work Mick I can see you’re on form. Says you with a 530 sat in the shed!
October 16, 2008 at 12:34 am #109496The 530 had a 100 hours on it so it is gone to Melbourne.
But I still have 2 KTM 50cc in the shed, they make great 2 bangers.October 19, 2008 at 10:43 am #109368Hey Ollie, I need a new rear, 18″ I think, I’d be willing to try a retread to save some $ the weekend at Louee cost a motza, how quickly could we get one to Penrith.. ( would need to have it before sat @ the watagans ) unless you want to get there a bit early and fit it for me.
Cheers

AnonymousChris, Ollie lives at Hornsby so you guys aren’t too far away from each other. My new tyres and bits for the bike will have to go on hold for a bit due to me moving
Still can’t get all that air out of my frickin forks either
October 19, 2008 at 11:11 pm #109701Yeah I doubt I could get out to Hornsby this week, I’ll wait till I hear from Ollie and see if we can sort somethin’

AnonymousTB seems to be proud of his tyre changing skills I reckon you should get him to do it before the start of the ride
October 19, 2008 at 11:27 pm #109708Told him I would pick the tyre up if that helped and I am happy to change it as I want to see if they are any easier than the old retreads I tried before, so I was going to ask Chris if I could fit it, plus its good practice for the christmas party

AnonymousSounds like a plan. I’ll have to buy a drill now I will have my own double garage
Let me know what the easyouts cost and I’ll sort you out for them. I already have the bleeders so we are good on that front
