Firstly whats this shit about my bike being the scratched up one
its just used ridden past the church on Sun
I have been on 2 rides with you lately Galey the hill climb king and it won’t be long and your bike will look like mine cause i haven’t seen you get up a hill yet  π π π
Legs eleven Galey , legs elevenNow back to my ride report
Well i said it was on Rain ,Hail or shine and we had all 3 , thankfully it was 99% shine
Thu avo saw Nath and LC arrive in the absolute pissing down rain , and I think there was a few thoughts go through mine and Lc ‘s head that it was Bellingen here we go again
Anyway fri morn saw Ev ,Rocket & Jason turn up and a few ominous clouds hanging around ,
but to no avail .Anyway as stated we rode a mix of trails with Ev Stopping at the end of some pine single trails with a huge grin and probably even a woody and stating that “I need to find some pine forest at home thats awsome “
And as usual when your up the front you miss out on most of the carnage and action but anyway apparently there was some .We thought we better head home as Mal3.00 may have been going to turn up and lucky we did as he was sitting in the shed already half pissed (we were an hour later than i expected but i also wasn’t expecting to see you)
Anyway after some lunch on my new BBq kindly donated at great expense from BBQ’s galore somewhere on the south coast we geared up and Ev noted a few storm clouds off to the east and stated ‘are we gonna get wet “, I stated we won’t get wet from them
well we didn’t we got smashed with hail from the ones we couldn’t see behind the house, shed and trees but anyway .
It wasn’t really my mothers shed we took refuge in , in Neville I don’t really know who lives there it was the first place with no one home thats all.Off to do some Native single which usually isn’t that slippery , but was after the storm
I’m already getting sick off typing so if we suddenly go to point form you’ll know why
Wasn’t much carnage in here Mal found a steep little downhill pinch , looked at everyone and said “are you serious” it wasn’t that bad but i did let him go first
Ev was having a overheating problem so we waited on the trail for a bit and Rocket decided some new brake pads needed to be put in there and then , wasn’t quite as easy as at home in the shed
After that home we goes Beer was calling
February 12, 2012 at 9:07 pm #215981Were you on the same ride as me Ev i can’t work out where some of that footage is
Adam and Sam arrived , don’t know when , the night before anyway
Day 2
We geared up and yet again waited for the infamous hill climber Galey to gear up ………….waiting ……………waiting……………………..waiting
I don’t know wether that happened or not i just wanted to hang a bit more shit on himWe found a sweep vest and off we headed
I was busting my arse out in front riding way above my ability level so as to not hold the group up and if i do say so myself made it over all of the logs for the morning :woohoo:Adam got a bit close and personal to Rockets 2 stroke .they may have secretly been trying for a 3 stroke ………………..
After a couple of lessons from the pro’s on every tyre system available to bike riders we headed off trying to make up a bit of lost time before lunch
BBq lunch was had thanks to my dear wife and children (she was talking to me on that day )
After lunch we headed off for some single trails and it is a good one it shook the shit out of everyones lunch amazing no one had to stop for a chuck
Galey was in a hurry as usual “are we going this way Bob ” “Get em Going Bob ”
In his defence i suppose he had to get as much in that day as possible as he had to go home
I was organising this ride around wearing you out Galey but all i did was wear myself out not knowing you were going home
piker
Then we came to Ev’s pinch a small but quite steep little hillclimb that looks easier than it is but awesome to watch people try so i found a tree and sat there with my video camera and a bag of snakes for probably an hour and a bit (no idea really) of entertainment ……..had to move down the slope to another tree as the action was moving further down the hill
Then off for more hills and a half baked race between galey and myself on a great loamy hill(loamy apart from the boulder that stopped me dead on race 2….another scratch)
i won the first one and Galey won the second ………….only due to the boulder otherwise i would have kicked your arse again πThen the Team moved on to some pine singles and it was becoming a very weary team by this time (especially myself) my mo jo had come and gone by this time and there was a little carnage , a bear doing some business in the woods and some slippery little tracks
time check it was 7 or after so general consensus was I’m stuffed lets go home
February 12, 2012 at 9:12 pm #215982I inherited another bike stand from someone …………………………………..Thanks
February 12, 2012 at 9:47 pm #215983Great Report guys

February 12, 2012 at 9:52 pm #215984Day 3
Slow start everyone a little sore, some a lot sore , a few knee’s that didn’t want to play the game and probably a few tickers as well
after a long winded gear up a sprocket change another local rider turned upfew laps around josh’s grass track we finally headed off
The AORC track was in better shape than i expected a bit of maintenance had been done so it was nearly full steam ahead
Next time we will go here first when we r fresh but still we were having a go and i think most enjoyed the track ,I had a little moment after Adam expressed interest in going the quick way home .
I took the wrong trail and gave him the hard longer one instead of the easier short one (Sorry Adam) it was a genuine mistake
Apparently Sam enjoyed taking you that way ………………stopping on the trail after a steep downhill and saying “wait a minute Dad will stack it here “
Dad stacked it , Sam laughed and rode off :laugh:We showed Adam the quick way home and headed back to the track
Not long into it Revenge was had and Sam stacked it for a few too see …yes we laughed and rode off :laugh:Further on we went ending up at a motocross track in the middle of nowhere
shenanigans were had here while some rested
There was quite a bit of racing going on around the track with the young’ens and those with distant race heritage showing there style and those of us with none rooted after one or two hot messy laps
Then the NEville 3 day race start without a starter person (i’ll have to work on that for next time maybe a hot bikini clad young lass with a flag)My first Motocross race ……………………..I had an awsome reaction time to the start ……………………..
smashed everyone to the corner ………………..
went a little fast into the corner on the wrong line
went a little sideways and stuffed it up for everyonethat was the race for me i was laughing too much so i toddled off to the camera man waiting at the tabletop
After the track we headed off on some more singles into the wilderness before deciding to head home
Thanks to everyone who turned up , i had a great time and hope it was up to expectations
Special thanks to everyone for riding with josh on his tracks ,i really appreciate it
he loved it and is right into bikes and riding at the moment .I’ll work on some more single trails and hill climbs for next time and we’ll do the ones we missed this time.
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
February 12, 2012 at 10:06 pm #216061I reckon Michelle typed this while you had a beer and told her your sad story to type up!
You see this is why I do my report in sections, so that I can write the wrongs in others reports. πΏ
Best you sort out some baby sitters for Sunday for me to show you some easy hills that I can get up. And I did have a 15 tooth sprocket on instead of my favoured 14 as it was RS.
Oh I do believe that I was ready before you were Bobby Long.
If you were really trying to wear me out you would have done the pines again instead of whinging about your arse and looking for ointment.
Final report tomorrow maybe.
Mal 3.0 where is your 2 cents worth.
Marty, get a south coast ride happening bro and I am there. Maybe I will pack my mankini for the beach afterwards.
Nice work Ev. great that you brought the cam/ video. Hope it has stopped raining in Bello.

Great ride reports and as always Galey you write a ripper that I find myself hanging on
As for the above of course I got that from reading the story sounds lucky no one was hurt eh  To be clear I have only asked questions and quoted facts regarding the tubliss system my apology
Now get in with your report please mate :woohoo: I am stuck in Newcastle with work it would help pass the time

Its a thread galey so i can right all of your misconceptions and your illtruths at any time
using the sprocket as an excuse now are we ..any excuse maybe its just a 2 stroke …you might go better on the new 3 stroke that there working on
Oh I do believe that I was ready before you were Bobby Long.
You probably were that moment was abit sketchy but iwas organising food and beveragesIf you were really trying to wear me out you would have done the pines again instead of whinging about your arse and looking for ointment.
yeh it was day two for us though think it might be a commitment thing it was a 3 day event not a one dayer
it was day 2 for usFebruary 12, 2012 at 10:39 pm #216058DAY 3
Left Bobs and in 10 mins we were at the old AORC track. a well planned single trail a little haggard now but that just made it more fun. A few hours in Adam bailed out and we headed to the MX track then home by 1pm.
Thanks heaps to Bob and Michelle for all there efforts in putting on a top weekend.
The terrain was so different to home and the pace and distance were spot on, I used 28 litres in 2.5 days
Highlights were the pine singles wich we dont have here, the weather and getting back on the good side of Newcastle. Some of the damage

February 12, 2012 at 11:09 pm #215985A video of the one of the hills with the boys having some fun.

And a tongue in cheek comment to Galey as he rode my bike up the previous hill
Adam.
February 13, 2012 at 1:20 am #216069My 2 cents worth Galey.
Got to Bobs around 1:15pm Friday and the boys ot back for lunch about 1:45. I was half geared up and they had a quick BBQ lunch and 4 of heaed out for a quick arvo loop. As has been said the rain caught us about 5km out of Bobs place, but after taking shelter in a local carport the sun came out and we were off to the local forest. Slippery singles and closed in fire trails for around 35kms did the trick. Back to Bobs for beer and benching racing.
Saturday was a great day out. Everyone has already described the terrain and riding styles so there’s not much more to add. I really enjoyed all the different tracks and watch the boys (mainly Ev) smashing themselves on that hill. I was never going to attempt it. If Galey got no where near the top then I would have no chance as he is a better rider than me.
Sunday was a great loop on private property. Tight technical single tracks and then a freshly groomed fast motorcross track.
Thanks to Bob and his family for putting on a great weekend and Bob and LC for leading us around some excellent tracks. I have just over 30GB of footage to go through and a few photos, but work and getting ready for this weekend has stopped me from looking at any of it yet.
I do love the sound of a 2 stroke in the pine forest… :woohoo:
February 13, 2012 at 9:58 am #216084Another ride I was unable to attend because of work.
Sounds like ya’s had a blast
Cheers
MurphFebruary 13, 2012 at 10:19 am #216089This riding business is very unprofitable at the moment
All i want to do is ride my bike or make new tracks
work sounds very boring really -
