:cheer:
Ok Ive just got the go head for a new bike.
Im after some input on what you guys think on the two particular brands I have picked.
I have ridden both the Honda CRF450 and the EXC450 but cant make my mind up on what way to go as I admire both brands and both have their strong points.
have any of you had any problems that salesmen arnt going to tell you about with either of these bikes.Im going to register it and hopefully this will open up places to ride for me rather then the back of the dam, may be I could even chuck it on the back of the ute (and not do a diff or smash any roos :pinch: “Dont Ask”) and go for a bit of a ride with the southern folk.
Cheers Harold
PS WHOOOO HOOOOO
August 15, 2013 at 4:23 am #248037Hi –h–,
I have a 2013 KTM 350 EXC-F, 1000kms, so far no problems other than rider induced issues :blush:August 15, 2013 at 4:41 am #248038Ive got a KTM 450 EXC 2008 and its a cracker of a bike to ride.
Been very reliable and has more than enough power.
As Trailraider mentioned, maybe even try a KTM 350 and see how you like it, i know they are very popular.
Cheers Marty

August 15, 2013 at 4:59 am #248063hi trailraider
thats one of the ones they quoted me 13.5k on road.
how do reckon it would be with my fat ass 116 kgAugust 15, 2013 at 5:03 am #248067You could find a brand new CRF450x for around 10k if you look around.

August 15, 2013 at 5:06 am #248068Kinda want to be local up here so if anything goes wrong i can go direct to where i bought it
up here they are 12k on roadAugust 15, 2013 at 5:07 am #248066Depends on the availability of spares locally.
I was thinking of a 300 Kato but have shyed away a little and may stick with my 500
As said the 350 seem to have a bit of punch and are lighter than the 450/500’s.
Would probably be perfect for our type of riding (singles and rock steps)
Still love the big hit of the 500 and would probably miss it.
No problems with my 012 Kato, has over 6500kms on her.
Good luck with what ever you chose
Cheers
MurphAugust 15, 2013 at 5:18 am #248039Wurths up here have just told me that they get a shipment of kato’s in next week and will be stocking parts
August 15, 2013 at 5:32 am #248040Hi –h–,
I have no problem power wise, has plenty all the way thru.
Its not a 450 but it gets going ok, depends on what type of riding you are doing.
Its awesome in the singles and keeps up in the open stuff
I am 95kg on a good day
August 15, 2013 at 5:54 am #248041anybody got the klx450r
August 15, 2013 at 6:01 am #248071My brother has one and i reckon its an underestimated 450. They have all the power you need but after riding the 300 its a bit heavy but not more than the wrf’s.
August 15, 2013 at 6:07 am #248042you do a bit on yours NATO a 350 would be ok heading out to byfield from Mount Morgan and stuff, Not thinking of running interstate with it but a good days ride what do ya recon
