Nothing to see here if we put a few on her we can jack it up and run it in reverse Ferris Bueller style.

Apparently there are some 07 650R’s still in the USA brand new,
that can be picked up for a song.

The problem is the bike doesn’t wear fast enough to have to go buy another one.

I talked to a Chris about these bikes he said they would not be ADR approved. What is the story there as it is not a gray import as they did have them here, but not anymore?

you could always get a frame here and put all the gear from the o.s one couldnt you?
pretty sure that it is near impossible to register one (bike) from O.S. with lots of $$ anything is possible though.

i once had an xr 650 for a couple of years. had it tarded also. they are a good solid bike, but are lacking in areas. you could spend loads of money on one and make it trick though. i would like to see a xr motor in a crf frame.. that would be cool!

Just checked out the dirtbike world link after all this time.thanks SB250. ;)
Seems you can get a CRF 450x and put a CR500 engine in it. You still need to get it to pass noise restrictions but they ony do this to get it to pass the test then return it to LOUD You just need the 500engine or a CR500 to wreck. Seems If I read correctly you can change the engine in any bike as long as you don’t increase the capacity by 160cc. I thought you would need an engineering cert?? The crf engined bike seems like a better bike than the CRF500e as it turns better. Doubt it would hold its value like a 500e but it certainly looks the goods.
