Had these custom designed and printed by Luke from Moto Mayhemgraphics. http://www.motomayhem.co.nz
Should be here next week. Luke has been great to deal with and designed these just the way I wanted them.

November 25, 2010 at 2:33 am #191371Captain,
Any reason why you chose a mob from NZ. I’m not being critical or starting a OS vs Oz war but for something that is specialised and a one off would have thought local people would have been much easier. I know at the end of the day NZ is practically Australia anyway but was just wondering if they were seen as better quality or much cheaper cause the NZ dollar is crap or if there was a specific reason.
They do look the goods though, I must admit.
November 25, 2010 at 2:49 am #191372No particular reason.
I came across him on an FMX forum I am on. It is a new business, his designs looked good and we got chatting so I thought I would give him a go.
I paid NZ$405 for them. Didn’t even realise that was NZ dollars until last week. So it was a pleasant surprise that they came in a bit cheaper.

November 25, 2010 at 2:55 am #191373I’ll give Tee n Cee a look for the next set. We have 4 bikes that need new graphics for the show.
I actually didn’t even look around at other graphics guys as it was a “ooo, you do graphics,,,, I actually think I would like a set” kind of thing.
I am not looking forward to putting them on. Terrified I will screw it up. Going to take my time and follow an “How to” that I have here.
November 25, 2010 at 3:00 am #191408Good luck, I cant wait to see the finished product mate. Drink plenty when you do it I reckon would help

November 25, 2010 at 3:31 am #191374I’ve done side covers and front plates but I reckon shrouds would have to be the worst. Luckily for me the ktm has the graphics built into the shrouds so I haven’t had to do it yet. What do they say. Patience is a virtue.

The trick to applying graphics is to lightly spray the sticky side with a mix of soap and water. Apply them and you will be able to slip and slide them into place.
When happy with the position, apply a little heat via a hairdryer, which will evaporate the soapwater mix, and the contact glue bites in.December 7, 2010 at 11:04 am #191376Graphics arrived and are on. Very stressful job applying new graphics
I wanted something to match my new helmet. I’ve always been a fan of old style fighter planes, hence the choice of the Fox Bomber helmet I have.
Luke was great to work with. He took my vauge idea of what I wanted and made it happen. He was always quick to get back to me and send me updates. When I wanted to add some things at the last minute he did so with no hassle.
Price was great. NZ$405 with postage. I think that was about AUD$318 at the time I placed the order.
The finish is great. The material is nice and thick and the printing is top knotch.
From the time I started talking to Luke to when I got them was about 3-4 weeks. Most of this was back and forth doing the design.
I am really happy with the graphics and will buy from Luke again.
Sorry about the crap photos. Only just finished putting them on. I’ll get better pics in the sun tomorrow.
December 8, 2010 at 6:31 am #192028Hey Capt the graphics look great mate nice job on the design
Hey with regards to putting stickers on your helmets you will find helmet manufacturers don’t recommend it as the glue can damage the shell poly blah blah blah coating structure of the helmet. Not meaning or wanting to be a kill joy just thought you should know mate is all

December 8, 2010 at 6:51 am #191377Thanks for that. I am really happy with how the bike came up. Just needs a black seat cover and black tank now.
There are no stickers on the helmet. That bad boy came from the factory with that sexy paint job
