    OBT Crew,

Today I set out in the 4×4 with my dogs to nail down some new hill climbs in Sunny Corner. I covered these on foot with the GPS. The creeks we cross on the bikes were a raging torrent due to the constant rain; I had second thoughts about crossing them with the 4×4.

All tracks were found in the pines.

Anyway the first hill I sorted I have named “Zigzag Hill” as that is what it does towards the top. A short step up off the FT, a log jump halfway up and some zigzag action towards the summit. A nice easy exit at the top as well. Everyone should blitz this. Marty450, I have taken the precaution of moving any sticks, rocks etc that may harm you in the event of another tumble down the hill. Grade 3

Hill 2 the original Heart Attack Hill. This has been blocked since a big wind storm made it impassable, even for a 2st. I did find an easy loop out; it comes out at the start of another new hill I found. See below. Grade 2

Hill 3 Galey’s Extreme Hill. 3 hrs it took me to walk this thing in. We are all going to battle with this one. Slippery log jumps, logs that explode when you walk on them Loose rocky crap in parts. This one is long. It goes up the hill, down then across then up then shoot for the top. Might have to ride down it a few times to run in the line. OK ride off to the top. Not a lot of room to play with though. Grade 4

These will most likely feature in the OBT B’day ride.

Now the fun part, to get the bike out there and ride them in!

The Valley Run is complete. B)

A sweet 2.6km single trail in the pines. It took me 12 mins to ride it and I was thrilled at the end of it. Rode it a couple of times and it is coming along nicely. A good grade 3 trail. Alot of off camber turns, log hops, short sharp hill climbs and long downhills.

B’Day ride grade 4 loop riders will be able to enjoy The Valley Run. ;)

Love it when a plan comes together. :woohoo:

    Nice one TB.

I get you while you are fresh then. Go easy on the Bundy on Friday night or the Maddening will eat you up!

Cheers King. All going well I plan to do the same loop in the morning and arvo. Saves me getting another one sorted out. You will get to sample lots of Sunny Corner loam, hopefully not by crashing. :silly:
