That’s the one Trev, been all washed out with rock steps in it last time I was there, 4 weeks ago.
Was out there with Matt Ado, the fully loaded soloman of S/T…… ;)

When I think about it, I reckon I was last at Hyundai hill about 6 or 7 years ago.
I don’t remember any rock ledges to step up or down. Just random dirt, ruts and bits of motorbikes spread all the way up the hill…levers and blinkers and that sort of stuff.

Yep used to be able to get a log jinker up and down it, now you might get a d6 up if you are a good operator

Can you tell me if when I hit Reply and write this message – is it going to just one person or the whole world?
Still a bit new at this. My email account is going spastic with various messages.
How many of you guys are there anyways?

I heard the doof party was in New italy and he drove it down the hill of his head looking for the way home.

A mate I ride with was asked to give a quote to remove the car with his excavator but considered it too risky, its a bugger of a hill climb without dragging a car too!!

    Hey Trev

Welcome to the mad house. By Australian standards I am a local so if you find yourself on the Coffs Coast in the near future PM me and I will take you for a loop.

    Cheers

Hey STM, thanks for that. Now I know sort of where I am at site wise a bit anyway.
I have done a couple of runs from Woolgoolga to Taylors Arms. Ever done that one?
Do you know Todd and Dave from Coffs Trail Tours?

Rode New Italy with the tin lids a month or so ago. We must be crossing the same tracks sometimes.
It’s a small world. We think we are a few of the only ones that go these places and then find out that they are as common as anything.
One guy told me last week that a couple of guys got fined at New Italy $1000 each. Unregistered bikes and where they weren’t supposed to be.

I heard about the fines and also National Parks stopping some of the single track riding from New Italy.

My main sunday arvo loop is Mororo across Tullymorgan to Hyundai hill repeater and back ,its 80km and takes about 3-4 hours, we sometimes go to Whiporie which adds another 50km . All good riding as you’d know :) :)

That sounds like a good loop. I might have to try and come along one day.
So tell me Nick, are you going to ride the DRZ400 from home to Camerons corner?
I wouldn’t think of riding the blue bike that far.
Possibly trailering it to the good stuff then going from there.
You’re going to have to change the tyres aren’t you?

I will be trailering the bike to near Condoblin and riding with the other Obts from their.

Tyres have been a big decision for me and I have settled on a Bridgestone Ed78 rear and a Michelin AC-10 front. It took some working out as I don’t want to hassle with tyre changes.

We started calling new italy, “New Idiot’ as for a while the QLDers were just coming down the hwy and parking in a few hundred metres and riding like loonies, outa control and on main access roads and the obvious S/T.

Mostly ride just south and inland a way from there lately.
