I’ve been holding off for a couple of months now knowing that the new podmx k700 was coming out and I’ve just spoken with Monza imports and they’ve said they’ll be in stores on Monday.

The first part of my review is an expression of my disappointment in the local pricing. I’ve already found them for $800 a pair landed from the states yet I’m told they’re going to be sold locally for $590 each! How ridiculous is it that a locally developed product is cheaper to buy from o/s?!?!?!?

I’ve said this before, I’ll support locals and especially sponsors where I can but when they’re 150% the price I’ll be getting mine in the mail :(

Did you end up getting the pod braces.

Yeah I did but their sizing tool is inaccurate and I’ve heard about 3-4 accounts of the same. I was told I’d be a small but they didn’t have any to try on so I bought them o/s and found that they fit without the hinge pads but they’re too tight with them in and they’ve said they’re necessary so I’m going to see if I can exchange them locally and if not I’ll offload these and buy another pair.

So far – they feel great, nice and light and slim and they feel very secure. I think you have to be a tad slow with the strap system because when you pull it through the loops it can pull your leg skin in and pinch it and that’s coming from a guy with chicken legs.

If I can exchange them locally I’ll be riding with them over the long weekend so can finish the review then.
