I made the trip to Sydney on Friday to see the Nitro Circus and at the same time use the trip to take delivery of TB’s “old” Tenere. TB had detailed it within an inch of its life and it all but presented as a new bike, Cheers TB.

There is no better way to take delivery of a new bike than to set out on a 370km ride home on it, even if it is slabbing it home on the Pacific Highway, with the rest of the family following me in the car.

It was probably the most enjoyable trip along the highway I have ever had (except for one trip with Moose and Kram, but I wont go there  ). When I got to the Wauchope turn off I really wanted to keep heading up the highway, the Tenere certainly makes easy going of a long ride!

Anyhow thanks to TB for hooking me up with the new ride.

Keen to do some shake down rides, still haven’t tried it out on the dirt yet. Not taking anyone out looking at properties this weekend I assure you!

Man have you changed. The old mick would have been excited over a new trail bike or a single run and a beer but never an adventure bike and a latte. Shame mick shame.

Don’t fret Snowy, I have a shed full of bloody trail bikes! And a adequately stocked beer fridge. The Tenere will serve a purpose that can involve the dear wife in a ride or two, she wasn’t keen to get on the back of the XR!

The old Mick is a alive and kicking, still loving a bush bash on the Pig and I don’t drink lattes

    Thanks for your concern. ;)

You do look mighty comfortable on the Ten though Mick

They are a good thing to ride, and as proven by many, very capable offroad too…
Congrats on the acquisition mate, you will soon need that Shed UPGRADE to a bigger unit mate
