New guy here from the states, like reading the stories and seeing the pics.
You all know how to live!Lots-o-beer and crazy rides.
    I,myself have been riding 37 years and have owned over 40 bikes.My current bikes are..75 xs650 Yamaha restored,03 KX125 Kawi,01 XR650R Honda dual sported.
Where i live in the states (Idaho)is a lot of open country, with desert to the south of us and mountains to the north, each being just an hour away.
right now it’s winter with lots of snow in the mountains and some in the desert.I’ll post some pics as soon as i can figure out how.

    Gday again Scalejockey,
Having been on TT myself for some time I have seen you around at the BRP forums. Congratulations and Welcome you are our first member from the States, so that makes you our American correspondent. As you may have noticed we tend to be a little more relaxed than the crew at TT or another Aussie site I could mention, most things are up for discussion here except politics and religion so enjoy your time here. I am sure TB is gunna want to see some pics of your XR650!!
    Cheers
    Mick

Welcome to the site mate :) As Mick said i beleive you are our first Yank on the forum. Always nice to have a broad spectrum of readers/posters though. Would like to see some of the pics from your area and don’t be shy about posting any ride reports, always nice to have a read :)

You can post photos by using Photobucket (or similar) web hosting service. Most of them even generate the fourm code so that youcan cut and paste into a post :)

    Welcome Scalejockey

Well the boys are right you are the first American member which is great, yes we do have the life here and its so much fun. As Mick mentioned I ride a XR650 and would love see some pictures and detail of yours. Mine was built by our our Honda Australia race team for the Australian Safari which that year was cancelled so the bike was never raced before I bought it.
Please PM me your address and I will as our first American Old Bull send you a stubbie holder (ya can look that up if you don’t know what it is  ) some front guard stickers and some normal stickers only because your the first.
Please post some pictures and ride reports would love to see the desert riding

So where do I buy all the bling and trick alloy parts for my 650?? :P

    Welcome mate

Worked like a charm! And cool pic too. Just to let you know I resized the pic as it came out a bit small. This is very easy to do. Just remove the potion of the code that says ‘size=150’ so the start of the code looks like ‘IMG’ inside the brackets with no other writing and you will be sweet :)

You can also click the edit button on the post with the picture in to see what I have done :)
