I like the Yammy. I’m half toying with the idea of getting an older bike to do up like a cafe racer, an XS650 was one of the bikes I was looking at:)

Ther’e fun to build. I did a street tracker a few years back. The only problem with XS motor,if you go to a thin seat yer arse won’t like the vibs for more than a quick trip.:woohoo:

Is that an XS650 thing though or just the price you pay for having next to no seat padding?

Welcome to the site Oh Yankely One!

Hope you can take plenty of good-natured playing silly-buggers! Bring on the ride reports from your neck of the woods… Oh, and to stop TB hassling you, you’d better put up some info about the BRP!

The original seat (and bars) work ok enough to rid the vibes. But if you use that motor for anything other than stock chassis,YOW!
Here’s a highly modded hill climber that i did some work on,I shakes so bad at the super high Rs. you can’t hold on. (besides being nitro burning scary fast)

    Took 4 years to build.
The 650 i just finished took about a month.
Life is a little more relaxed nowB) I WAS married with a house,2 young kids and a wife that didn’t work (ever).
Now i’m taking some time off (a year or so)with a new wife that works a very good job,my kids are grown now.Besides I have to recover from knee surgery this last month.[read:drink beer and play on web sites:P

Yeah those street trackers are all the rage in Japan. They get around in gangs of twenty or more and don’t they make some noise.!!
