Newbie from Gundy

G’Day!!
I have found some good info here on OB and thought I should finally join. Now I’ve done that I thought I’d do the intro thing.

From Goondiwindi, Qld. Originally from Bourke (Tye Simmons Country).

I have been riding/racing for over 30 years and I currently have a 2011 YZ450F SE. I mainly ride single trial stuff and do the Dalby Moto trail rides (I did 8 of them last year). I am also a member of the local Motocross Club but I do prefer the ST.

This year I also plan to do the Northern Inland Pony Express (NSW).
2011 was also going to be my first year to have a crack at “Finke” but I stuffed up a bit and my wife is now due with our third tricycle-motor on the same day that I should be riding from Alice to Finke. So instead I will have a go at ‘Hattah’ this year then do ‘Finke’ next year.

That Yammie of your looks like a nice bit of kit. How does it go out in the bush?

I only have 4 Hours on it so far which has been around a track so I don’t really know what its like in the bush yet.
It’ got a Force Bash plate, Bark Busters Ego’s, Steg pegz and an MSC dampner so she’s ready to go.
If it’s anything like my 09 YZ450 it should be sweet!!

welcome to OBT.I am planing to do all the inland pony expresses this year,there is a hand full of us bulls who go in it.Might cu there,…you can use me for traction
Sometimes we get an OBT tent together..Horton at the end of the year is the one not to miss :cheer:

Looking at trying B grade for the pony express and see how we go. I am no A grader. My team mate may not make it too all the rounds which I think means I can do Iron man to keep points. I might have to think about reducing the smoking and drinking if I have to do that. 😆

You can do iron man with me Gib…i pull up at the bottom of hills and have a snake and a smoke :cheer:

Sounds good to me mate. I may have to quit the smokes and grog when I start training for Hattah though I think.
