Hello everyone i’m Steve, I have just got back into bikes after about 20 year. I brought a cheap chinese bike just to see if i was going to enjoy it again, it’s early days but i can see myself getting a Jap bike real soon.

two new Vicco’s in two days :woohoo:
welcome to the asylum :silly:
there are a few members around the Melb area. few out Geelong way, i’m up just over the boarder.
there will be a renewed enthusiasm come new year to organise ride gatherings.
where do you ride the Chinese steed or is it an ADR compliant jobbie?
either way, good to meet you in the cyber rider’s universe :cheer:

December 5, 2009 at 10:17 am #164021Thanks guys, yeah it’s a nice area up here i love it. Where is MENACE from?
It’s an Atomik Kuda Pro 250cc, cost me $1100 not a bad bike for that money. nothing like a jap bike though….
December 5, 2009 at 10:49 am #164029Hey not bad for the money it looks the part aircooled so there is no radiator to break the motor looks like a xr200 donk :cheer:
December 5, 2009 at 10:51 am #164002Um do you mean where is Menace from originally?
we’re not sure which galaxy the meteorite that brought him is from
:silly: :woohoo: :woohoo:
he was living in the Seaford area, but recently relocated to a new abode.
so you will have him to log on to update his whereabouts.
he rides an 08? Kato “3hungy”.
the Cuda looks like the older xl/xr engine?
i doubt i could complain too much about it’s attributes when it costs all of $1100.00
>>Beats buyin a 2nd hand KLR 250
for double that price<<
people used to laugh when i told them i would borrow my Bro’s 82 XL 250 to ride while i waited to get my full license.
i would tell them Not to laugh Too much! for a bike to perform so well with me on it, it had to be an Okay Bike!
it would haul my Fat ( . ) along at 100km/h  and pulled awesome mono/ wheelies too! :woohoo:
so don’t judge a bike on cost, brand or age,>>Unless it’s a KLR 250
<< the proof is in the pudding, as they say.

the spech sheet reads alright too= 15kw/20hp @ 7000rpm
December 5, 2009 at 11:00 am #164035looks nice and light, and the perfect bike to get back into riding after such a long break.
ps. look out for menace
nearly forgot
Welcome to old bulls
December 5, 2009 at 11:08 am #164032xy-transit shit your quick…lol
I haven’t even ran the engine in yet, still in the tuning stage too.
There is a park couple of minutes away from where i live so i just wheel it onto the ute along with the little 125cc for the missus and we take them down for a ride, no one uses this park anymore. I’m looking forward to taking it for a real trial ride just to see how it handles and performs, it will be interesting. I have found out the the whole fork assembly including the triple clamps from a YZf400 fit straight on which i might have to do if i keep it that is.
No i thought menace might be from around here that’s all.
December 5, 2009 at 11:11 am #164037Yes it sure is light and very easy to ride, your right there, it’s great since it has been a long time…..

drew or droopy/deniliquent as Menace calls me
oh p.s.do you know if the forks etc for the Blitz are upgraded compared to the Cuda?
being the blitz is water cooled and “high performance cam”, exhaust, tuned etc.
December 5, 2009 at 11:39 am #164039Yes the forks on the Blitz can be changed as well to the YZF400 the bikes are almost identical except for the obvious. The guy who has done all the homework has a Blitz, he is also changing the rear shock assembly from a Jap bike. The suspension is the biggest let down on these bikes hence the R&D going into them to make them better. The other things that should be changed is the CDI and Carby to a oko 26mm, they also cut the muffler down as well. Of course there are the little things like 1/4 throttle, HYD clutch and better levers….i could go on but you know what after market goodies are out there.
