    Oh YEah,,,
Sorry I forgot one of Gavs mates couldn`t make it & we were left with 14 riders plus one Pillion (Dave`s 10yo son Lachlan) He went like a champion all day too the little fella :)
He even cut down TB at the Convict Bridge with some quick witted remarks,,,,, something about “Lazy People”

That run is always a fun day out,, just some Old Buls having a ride, feed & a Beer or two B)

Wow the great ride weekends just keep on coming, last weekend the bridle trail, Hillend, etc and then a two dayer with Eags, Kat and crew.

So I thought I would make a decent ride to Eags, so a quick post and got me a travel partner for Saturday, a loop planned and away we go. I got up Saturday morning and it was cold, fark I thought whose idea is this  The ride out to Windsor to meet Kat confirmed it was as cold as I have ever been on a motorbike  I got to Windsor and fueled, grabbed a red bull and waited for Kat. I took a picture and posted using my Ipad as I was trialing my travel case ;)

    P7090077640x480.jpg

    P7090076640x480.jpg

Once she turned up got a coffee, stopped swearing  we left and rode out to Colo river, a left and we followed the river to the bridge to cross and run the dirt to Colo Heights. We stopped on the bridge and Kat says “why have they painted the bridge in the shade white”  really :P Its ice / frost Kat ;)

    P7090081640x480.jpg

    Yup it was bloody cold

    P7090078640x480.jpg

So we found some sun for Kat to thaw out, she needs different gloves and maybe heated grips, a screen

    P7090080640x480.jpg

Its a nice place for a summer trip, I couldnt talk Kat into a swim, she told me to do something un-natural to myself

    P7090079640x480.jpg

Off we went up to Colo where Kat put 5 litres in the XR and we left, not far we ventured of the black top again and explored some of my fav tracks, checking of ins and outs for future use. The soft sand was interesting eh Kat

We got to Putty and headed bush to do a big 140km loop back to Howe’s Valley, we had heaps of fallen trees to get over or around

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KogAMk2IPqk

Once we got through that we crossed the Putty rd and started along the Yengo track. Here is Kat coming up the rollers, its steeper than it looks

    P7090088640x480.jpg
    P7090087640x480.jpg

It was none stop, actually we only stopped twice really all the way to Wollembi, a stop of anytime really. Start to Wollembi Pub

    P7090090640x480.jpg

    P7090091640x480.jpg

Once we had a Bundy each we trucked off straight to Beags place. We stopped at the bottle shop and Beags had the door up and ready when we rolled up. We sat around the shed and drank, had a few actually and inhaled a pizza

Next day when I was woken by a over excited Beags, yeah wakes me at FARKING 5am for a 7am start, from his place where we are at!!!! He is there in his gear bar boots waiting, as exciting as a dog with two dicks !!!!!

I went down stairs and saw these little boots and thought Lefty had fronted up

    P7100092640x480.jpg

    P7100093640x480.jpg

    Still getting ready

    P7100094640x480.jpg

Eventually we leave Beags place, thanks Beags and family for putting us up :)

We got to Freemans and soon a crowd turned up, yeah ADV riding isnt any good :P

    P7100096640x480.jpg

We rode from there out through the tracks Nickj and I had been through a month or so ago but they have been made into a 4X4 track now not the singles they were :(

    Before

    P5150261.jpg

    Still lots of fun :)

Choot got bogged in the same spot Nickj did, couldnt get the camera out before he got out but it was the same as Nick so here is Nick, was exactly the same

    P5150262.jpg

From there it was a good run down to St Alburns, from there up to the lookout which was a rocky shitty testing track for a loaded ADV bike, but fun. Saw the big 690 lie down, rode around it actually

    Up the lookout

    P7100098640x480.jpg

    P7100101640x480.jpg

    P7100102640x480.jpg

    P7100099640x480.jpg

From there I split, Krusty came along and I turned it up to the pace I ride with Nick, it was none stop, just get to an intersection wait and make sure Krusty can see which way and go. We wound up to Colo, down to Colo river and at to Bilpin all on dirt. 5 kms and back onto the dirt, from there an 18km run to a locked gate!!!!! WTF that wasnt part of the plan, turn around and rode out of the valley. Once back on the black stuff to the Pie in the Sky blue mountain style. Quick pie and I bailed leaving Krusty, once up to Kurrajong I took a 4×4 track to the river and headed home

Thanks to all involved, thanks again Beags and family, I have started planning a family weekend down here already ;) Kat you ride at a good pace stop saying you are slow

PS My profile photo is on the St Albans road.

I think Diddle was wrong last year when he said that Adventure bikes weren’t real bikes
