    My local dealer rode at Coffs launch ( probably the same bloke that Bols spoke to and normally rides a 2 fiddy ) tells me it handles like a 2 fiddy. He said he had it on a middle of the range setting so that it wouldn’t pull his arms off and didn’t even notice the weight of the bike in the tight stuff.
    I believe the shop is going to demo a bike and I will be taking it for a ride before I make my final decision on whether to stay with a 450 or drop down to a 250.
    As for price, he is quoting $13750 on road which is on par with other brands.
    If the bike is true to it’s design specs it will be well worth the wait.

    I placed my order today, $12950 ride away.

    It comes with a offroad enduro pack and a power tuner

    They are hoping to have it at the dealership midweek and with a touch of luck i will have it by next weekend

    Well done mate.
    We will all be very keen to hear about how she goes. Sounds like a fair deal considering some of those tuners can be $600.

    Thanks guys, I went with my heart in the end.
    Another factor was that the Yamaha dealers have a new model special going on.
    The new WR was $ 600 cheaper than the kato

    I also will be very keen to hear your thoughts of the EFI as I have had the KTM 500 for quite a few months now. B)
    I was so reluctant to buy the first of new design but so far all is good, although it seems to wear me down faster than my 07 525. Still its a great machine. Had to ride a KTM 09 450 up a hill today and was surprised at the lack of grunt it had off the bottom compared to mine. On saying that I could probably ride that for much longer than mine. :blush:

    All reports are good..I THINK..My 06 weighed in at 130kg,so i dont think the 2012 model has a weight problem.

    I had my first live look at the new WR today , to be honest I was
    a bit dissapointed. It just looks like a tarted up version of the old one.
    I hope it goes better than it looks.

    C`Mon Aido, It will be sweet, by all media reports they go like the clappers and are still nimble betwen the legs ;)

    Stop whinging and ride it you’ve been looking at photos for months what did you expect?
