For something completely different, Yesterday, Melissa and I went in The Annual Toy Run, held by The American Motorcycle club. Some friends of ours are members and they talked us into tagging along. A lot of you would know, I have had a Harley Dyna Lowrider owned by my brother in law in my shed for a few years. I fixed it up for him after years of neglect and it actually got its first wash and polish in at least 3 years in preparation for the ride. What looked like a shit box actually scrubbed up to be a reasonable looking bike after a few hours of elbow grease.

Well, it came up good enough for Melissa to consider getting on the back (yes TB, a brave girl indeed).

Our friends turned up on their massive Harley Road King and we headed of together to meet up with the rest of their club at the Highway service centre, at Subway off coarse, Harley riders a healthy apparently. When we arrived, there was already a heap of scary looking bikers dudes milling about, looking tough.
As it turned out I knew quite a few of them from past lives and they soon made us feel welcome.

Once they all had arrived (about 30 of them) we headed for Laurieton, were the Toy run was to start.

Once we arrived at Laurieton, I was surprised how many bike were there, there were literally 100’s!

Whilst we waited for the ride to begin, we just hung out in the shade and checked out the bikes and passing parade when along comes our very own closet ADV rider and now possible closet roadie. Old Mate Snowy all the way from Tamworth, was there checking the show out!!

Once the ride got going proper, I reckon the procession stretched out for a kilometre or more, it was quite a scene! And the noise was unbelievable.!!

Here we are terrorizing the main street at Wauchope.

The weather was perfect for a ride and to be honest I was really enjoying the ride as we headed into Port Macquarie via the head lands.

We all re grouped at West Port Park for a BBQ and some socializing.

Before Charlie, Mary, Melissa and Myself headed into Port for a Sushi lunch.

By then we were getting pretty bloody hot so we made tracks for home. A few beers and a Nanna nap topped the day off nicely! Call me old or what ever but I will have to admit, I had a great day out on the bike with the missus and she actually had a good time as well. It might just be a little longer yet before the Brother inlaw gets his Harley back!!

I saw a few blokes on XR’s and a bloke on a Kato 950 SM. So like I said it doesn’t matter if you are on a dirt bike.

I am supposed to be delivering the Mayor to the airport that day for him and the family to fly to the USA. Seeing as the Mayor will be donating $20 to the charity jugg (coffs) for my chauffeur services I had better stick to that sorry mate :(

$20 is cheap for a nights accommodation, baked dinner and chauffeur services would you agree Mick? Maybe too cheap price may have to be time to agree dependent  Will check when I land in Melbourne if he is undecided I will put it up by 10 every couple of hours

The missus was just telling the Mother in law about the day and I could tell by what she was saying, that she enjoyed herself more than she thought she would. I bet she will be in it again next year. I think the mother in law was surprised by her daughters” Behaviour”…..LOL

The first photo of us was taken by Connor, the other bigger ones of us riding were taken by a Journalist from work.

I have had no response to the above Mayor, it’s now 30 bucks donation for the Coffs tuff jugg for your chauffeur ride to the airport, parking at my place, accommodation etc. It as per the above will go up another 10 tomorrow if I don’t get an ok, it’s for charity
