Whoa there Brucee, its just in the disscussion stages so far, no physical work done yet
Sammy wrote her little Daewoo off last week and had a slight ‘near death experience’, it has driven her to think of kids (excuse the pun)
im not holding my breath but im crossing my fingers:laugh:
Scotty, i too have an issue with the grey areas of riding in town, thats another reason i have full rego like Aido. thats the way it is though down here.
to be technical about it, you could ride up to the edge of town, legally and walk into the pub.on the same token, you must also walk your bike over any sealed roads you come across. i have seen people get pinched for riding their bikes out of the caravan park, over a sealed road and straight into state forest. literally 20 metres. i guess it depends on the coppers and their attitudes and what they deem as being a dick.
MickP,  thanks mate, who says crack kils brain cells
TAC is one of the best thngs for bike riders. I have used it twice. both times being a single vehicle accident.
it pays all medical etc and pays 90% of your wage. its a lot like workcover in the way it runs.
it seems silly to me that up there you can come out of a car and be covered but not come off a bike  thats stupid and definately discrimitave.the only thing TAC doesnt cover is your bike.
my biggest niggle down here is the LACK of compulsory third party for any private vehicle. it is not required by law and with no RWC every year either, we have some pretty shitty cars getting around.
they need to be condemned.
everyone should have compulsory insurance…period!!!

October 19, 2010 at 6:20 am #185074Just received this in my Email lets hope it happens and finally put some pressure on these money grabbing idiots
Ollie
Dear Dean,
In Parliament this week the NSW Liberals & Nationals will be voting in support of legislation that gives motorcyclists a voice in Government, by providing representatives of the Motor Cycle Council of NSW a seat at the table of the Motor Accidents Council.
The NSW Liberals & Nationals have supported the push to give motorcyclists a voice for months, but it wasn’t until your successful rally out the front of NSW Parliament that the Keneally Labor Government finally caved in to the request.
While I believe it is important that the interests of motorcyclists in NSW will always have a voice on that council, I know many riders are still frustrated and concerned about the massive hikes in CTP this year.
This is an issue I take very seriously and is one that am working hard to address from Opposition.
Please continue to contact me directly to raise any rider or roads concerns you may have.
Regards
Andrew Stoner MP
