    Friday
Snowy09, Demus,Pete(snowys bro in law) and I headed to nundle to get the Old Bulls do nundle 2010 ride under way. Snowy was a bit unsure about his route for Sunday so we unloaded the bikes off the utes and headed for the hills. I was keen to have a look at the main creek we would be crossing on Saturdays ride as well. Snowy took us in the back wood and down what he called a trail (really, it was just a gap between 2 trees) we placed a welcome message for our Victorian visitor and then we headed down to the creek for a bo peep. Fridays little recy ride ended up being near 80 ks long and just to test our dedication it snowed, rained and hailed on us when we were in the forest and when we were trying to get back to town.
The crew started arriving and following many greetings it was off to the pub for some grub, beer and laughs. After tea we headed back to the park and the ring of knowledge was formed around the fire pit and menace was sharing some of his high octane spirits. Once again all the worldโ€™s major problems were solved by drunken Old Bulls and off to bed we went.
    Saturday
The gods shone upon us by supplying us with a cloudless sky.
We suited up and some other riders turned up . I gave the ride brief, Pep put the sweep vest on and we were off in to the hills.
We crossed the first creek of the day with no real drama, however someone had put the staircase on the other side and that caused a few riders some issues.
We done the view walk to the look out and then headed off towards the berry patch for lunch.
The boys had a ball in the tight stuff and Mal and Menace were like a couple of kids on red cordial when hit the trails heading towards parachute hill.
The creek crossing where going Ok up until Buzz decided it would be a good time to give the internals of his WR 450 a bit of a wash. An hour later we were off again drama free towards the berry patch. I was leading the ride along a good bit of trail and thought I would switch on the bludgeometer . I was sitting down enjoying the view and dodging wallabies when i heard that distinctive Ding,Ding,Ding of a certain KTM 300,back up on the pegs, down 2 gears and it was on, talk about being able to ride, that menace is a dark horse people, he goes alright on that bike.
    Lunch was once again brilliant
Bikes topped up and we headed for home, narny scored a flat front , so the crew dived in and it was fixed in no time at all.
We headed back to the van park and the shenanigans began for round 2.
    Sunday
Off we headed again up to the forest for snowys tour ride. This ride was at a slower pace as everyone was in wind down mode.
Old Bulls official Ks 193. Organiser ks 270 (no wonder I hurt everywhere)

Thanks to all that turned up and made it such a great weekend.

    What a weekend!!!!!!!!!

Arrived Friday arvo a bit after 4 and booked into the motel, got settled and went looking for the boys and found Mal changing Boony’s tyre while Boony looked for a tourque wrench for doing up the valve cap :D. Headed back to the motel only to be sexually harassed by Bollocks sitting in his car on the side of the road, so I stopped and had a berr with him. Met up with them again later at the pub for a few sherbets and laughs then back to the fire pit where we used Menace’s alchohol (can’t remember what it was) to start the fire. Unfortunately the flame didn’t last long enough so Dude I think it was went and got some petrol to get things going.I left the bullshit, I mean knowledge ring around 10.30, not sure what time the rest bailed (and some didn’t make it at all, not mentionimg any names ay Snowy or Pete ;) ) Oh and Buzz turned up at the pub just as we were all leaving for the ring of err, knowledge.

Saturday morning dawned bright and clear and we all geared up for some fun in the sun. The first trails were fairly open but steep and rocky in sections and a good warm up, Boony lead us to a gate where we dismounted and walked up a hill to some magnificent views. Pep found a way around the gate and dinked a few of us fat lazy bastards up the hill (thanks Pep). Back on the bikes and the trails got better and better, we eventually made our way into some really tight slippery pine forest singles that got the blood pumping and the sphincter muscles twittering, I had one lay down when I lost the front end at low speed then about 100 meters later did the same thing after coming out of the pies and miss cued a log hop, they turned out to be my only falls for the weekend. There were hills that went on forever with loose rocks and gravel that had you on your toes and some wicked windrows/erosion mounds, I was chasing Boony up one hill that seemed to be neverending and stared to get too close, every time he went over one of the windrows I was getting showered with rocks so had to back off a bit. We made a few creek crossings that had soem farily big rocks on the bottom to keep you on your toes, On one of the crossings we actually road upstrem at about a 30 degree angle to get across and that is where Buzz dropped his WR, the only thing sticking out of the water was the handlebar and a bit of the tank. We lost about 45minutes getting his bike going again then headed to the Berry Patch via a few more crossing that some of the guys safely walked there bikes across then into the Berry patch for BBQ sausages, meat patties, pink chicken pieces, bread rolls, salad and berries and Ice cream for desert, they even had fuel for us and at a reasonable price.
After lunch was more of the same although the sun was getting low and a decision made to head back by the more open track with the ride ending after 4.00pm.

Saturday night was more beers and laughs at the Peel Inn followed by more shenanigans at the fire pit, I was a big girly man and went to bed so I can’t comment on what happened there but there were some pretty ordinary heads come the morning and rumours of Mal and Menace going to bed around 3.30am.

Sunday was a nother cracker of a day and we headed of into the trails again, we started with a short loose rocky up hill, down hill that was only a couple of hundred meters long just to warm up. I stalled on a small log in the early stage of the run and without momentum couldn’t get going again. I would push it up the hill a bit then when it started movingeasier , I’d get back on but as soon as I let the clutch out it would just bog down again so I would push it a bit further and the same again and again, after 50 meters I was knackered but had it at a pont where I thought it would be good to get back on again but was too tired to throw my leg over it. Pepe came up and road it up for me while I did the walk of exhaustion and shame. From the it was up the tar, onto the dirt road then into the trails and I was really struggling early, eventually I found my mojo and really enjoyed the riding. The ride was short and sweet and we were back at the caravan park by 12 and on the road home by just after 1.00pm

Some memorable moments of the weekend were:

Pep arriving at Nundle van park only to realise that his van no longer has a door
The laughs over a few beers at the Peel Inn
The steep hills and and slimey sections were you could turn the throttle it it was just like revving it in neutralas the back wheel jsu spun (although not that many slimey sectons)
Getting the feel of the throttle on the Berg so that I didn’t sh!t myself everytime the front wheel came up and managing a couple of ok mono’s including passing Boony on the back wheel
    The creek crossings
    The laughs
Getting nailed by Pep as he blasted through puddles and everytime it was just after I had cleaned my goggles
Filling in Eagle in the swamp, I had stopped to try and roost Boony who was standing there taking photos when Eag’s ran up the back of me and fell over By this point Boony had moved out of range and so I waited until Eag’s bent down to pick up his bike and let him have a short blast (I could have held it there longer but was a little bit considerate :D )
The drag races between Boony, Menace, Mal, Dude and Pep.
    The drowned WR
Throwing up a little in my mouth a few times after lunch on Saturday (Definately should have eaten less with all that bouncing around):X
Screaming down a forest road at about 120-130kmh and everyone just stopping in front of me. I was hard on the brakes thinking there’s room on the right, only for some one to start turning right, then seeing space through the middle but then someone else moved and finally having to go up the inside of the track and along a reasonably steep embankment to avoind everyone. Definately a butt puckering moment.
Pullin up next to Pete who looked a bit distressed and seein the blood dripping from his mouth and the broken tooth from rock off someones back wheel

Not many pictures from me as I didn’t take a camera only the phone camera and I don’t have a lead to get the pictures of it yet. Had my helmet cam but looking through the footage yesterday I was turning it off when I wanted it on and on when I wanted it off s missed some good stuff but there is more footage to come once I edit it all.

Thanks to all the the leads the sweeps and everyone in between for a great weekend.
    Cheers Jeffro
