Remember, I was geared up , sitting in the sun on the verandah after skipping the bbq bacon & eggs

Great weeknd though, lets do it again :woohoo:

    BASTARDS :P

well my PC is still giving me grief and is as slow as still. im having trouble with videos and pics so ill have to do them later.

    thursday.
after a restless 4 hours sleep i trundled off to the far northern lands. the further i got north, the bigger the rivers got. most paddocks were water and all i wanted to do was rip the bike off and hit them at speed, just for fun
it was the greenest ive seen it in years.

i get past Albury and turn off at Ettamogah onto the ‘olympic highway’.
that road is a bloody joke
rough as guts all the way to bathurst :side:
i needed a kidney belt
and f**king trucks  some of them are a little nutty to say the least

it poured rain all the way up to bathurst. i stopped into the track and did a couple of laps. its steeper than it looks on the telly and going over the top of the mountain is definately an eye opener, especially in a laden Prado towing a bike   the ABS started jerking into the Esses, giving me a moments pucker   it was sick fun!
i can tick that off the bucket list now :)

i found my way to Mals place, high in the clouds.
we grabbed some drinks and headed to the shed for some KTM bonding
Mal whipped a new set of S12s on for me, while i bumbled around putting my new triple clamp and damper on…twice  (note, dont forget to put the collar over the headset or the damper wont work  )
it was all good, the fire was warm and the rain was horizontal. Mals shed is wicked. i want one just to live in
Mal whipped up some noodle stir fry action. it was awesome.
You have done well Donna,he is so domesticated
i dunno what time i crashed but it was a looong day and i slept like a log.

    friday.
i was excited from the moment i woke up. it was gonna be a massive day :)
after brekky, we geared up for a bit of a run around the paddock… sorry, the A4DE special test paddock. :P
i followed Mal around trying to stay out of band for the first lap, pretty hard to do in 3 inches of sloppy mud and cow shit  but the 300 chugged along and tractored around, bedding its new bangles in nicely.
lap 2 was a different story
lap 3 was roost city
we passed a brand new calf, fresh out of the box and still shiny
i thought it was so cool. mum was being a little protective and i nearly stacked right next to her  cows freak me out…
damn city slickers
Medogrocket had threatened to turn up if the weather held up but it didnt and we were soon drowned  so we headed back, pulling wheelies up the rolling hills back to the shed…awesome!
Mal gave the bikes a hose so they looked all pretty for the jealous eyes of the Boony
Medogrocket turned up in the cosyness of his car and said gooday. we both had a yack and hung some shit on Mal  before we had to pack up and head off.
it was good to meet you Tim ;)

we loaded up and hit the road to nundle…… :)

    friday cont…

    road trippin’ :)

“Errr, at the end of the f**king road, Err, turn left”, droned Ozzy Ozbournes voice through the sat nav and with a laugh we were off.

i love road trippin, especially with some like minded humour.
me and Mal spent the next 4 1/2 hours cracking up
having sing alongs, dodging the dozen or so ninja turtles we saw crossing the road and pondering whether or not Ozzy was taking us the right way
we did a driver swap at lunch, i cant remember where. it was great to sit back and take in the scenery.
Bloody Ozzy took us on a short cut up some dirt road. all we could do was laugh as we dodged cattle and shit.
when he tried to take us the back way into nundle via a river crossing   we over ruled Ozzy and went back to the good old fasioned way….reading signs

we found our way to the caravan park, only to be greeted by boonys ugly mug   and blinded by the bald eagles head

the shenanigans started straight away with the banter rife, i was introduced to the tamworthians and Dude and with the chink of a beer we were all life long OBT buddys :) Jeffro wandered in with some beers too. it was good to the the old diamond ;) :)

PEP, the cycletune express parts delivery driver arrived with a new rear tyre for boon, only to realise he had left his rear brake pads at home  and took off again on another mission. it should also be noted that while towing his caravan to nundle the door flew off somwhere en route. “it’ll be right, the heater works good” says PEP
im still waiting for the news report..”cow sliced in half near Tamworth by flying UFO debris”

boony provided us all a good belly laugh as he sweated and swore for a while before we showed him the easy way to change it

    10092010086.jpg
mumble mumble mumble :P

we all got ready for the pub and meandered down there for a feed. there had been a funeral in town that day and the pub was packed. it is a great pub and a good feed. :)

    10092010089.jpg
Bollocks with his best Blue Steel look….it wouldnt last long

    10092010090.jpg
Eagle, ringing the wife to complain about his steak being small. they must have known you eat like a bird

    10092010091.jpg
Mal, looking as out of focus as the picture is

    10092010092.jpg
Snowy (rugby virtuoso) and Pete (or Gappy but pre gap)…look at those choppers, they were made to eat rocks :P :P

    10092010094.jpg
PEP, ready to rave

i chewed down a tooheys :X and started on the schooners of double JW and coke  $12 bucks a pop!!!
    expensive but tasty
they wouldnt sell me it in jugs….bastards

we headed back to the camp to light the ring of knowledge and get serious.
i had a secret weapon with me, some polish spirit. nobody wanted to know it at first but soon enough there were capfuls being downed.
1 shot of this stuff is about 3 shots of whiskey, so a capful is about 1 shot.
it isnt to be consumed within 6 foot of a fire

    08092010084.jpg
its evil shit 👿

    11092010095.jpg
not so Blue Steel Bollocks

big dog must have come on the telly as Bolls hit the wall and wanted to go to bed, this wasnt in the equasion so i kept feeding him the bottle of 50/50 bundy mix he had been dribbling into.
then he bolted like a branded brumby
i gave chase and watched him lose it and face plant the road :pinch: :(
    man, it had to hurt.
i could hear him whimpering so i knew he was alright. i remembered what boony had tought me earlier and tried to lift his wallet.

i scraped him up of the road, congratulated him on the first stack for the weekend and carried the barny rubble lookalike up to nurse eagle. he had a bit of carpet burn on his knees and elbows but im not sure if that was from the stack or something else
his hand looked nasty, boony showed some rare kindness and offered a hand shake..

    11092010098.jpg
    feel the love

maybe he saw this sign near the toilet and freaked out
    ATT407677.jpg

the Dude and Bollocks were at the point of talking Braille…i probably was too but i could still understand myself. those 2 were like a couple of japanese babies

i dunno what time me and mal staggered to the cabin. i remember eagle and his potty mouth delivering all kinds of idle threats involving thrashing talons.
me and Mal cracking up and singing the Skyhooks’ Eagle is not a dirty word, which brought eagle out in a flurry
he looks like Inspector Clueso when he is pissed..and well, pissed
we were all like kids at school camp

geez it was a funny night. i could have gone home in the morning and still been happy :)

    saturday…..

saturday came after a big night on the sauce, i couldnt believe i felt so good! there were a few sorry looking heads, namely eagle, who wasnt looking very eaglish, more like a crimson cheeked, torn-up pottymouthed booby bird.

i had this song in my head from the night before..

If I did not know an Eagle I would not be here tonight
If I did not drink like Eagle I might not think that I was right
If i did not know an Eagle i might not care to which side i dressed
Cause if you dont know the Eagle your lucky like the rest

Eagle is not a dirty bird
Eagle is not a dirty bird
Eagle knows lots of dirty words
Don’t you believe what you’ve seen or heard

If Jesus knew the Eagle he’d still be alive today
Thank god i know the Eagle, or I might have found that Mal was gay
If you drunken up the Eagle, you wont believe how he can swear
Cause when the Eagle is on the piss, he just doesnt f**king care

Eagle is not a dirty bird
Eagle is not a dirty bird
Eagle, master of the swear word
Don’t you believe what you’ve seen or heard

Aaron, inventer of the famous pizza/burger arrived, as did Shaun, the quiet achieving KLX123.

that was all of our dirty bakers dozen for the day, ready to roll, lucky 13 riders ;)

my gutterflies were going mad in anticipation for the “dog on lino” clay and sweet pine singles that boony had been teasing me with all year

we motored through the first few K’s on the blacktop, where the dude still managed to throw some rocks at me as he cruised the gravel edge
    into the first track…adrenaline pumping!!!
only to be placed at the first corner    where i waited for what seemed like ages for PEP, our morning sweep.
i started freaking out… had i listened to everything at the riders briefing??
had PEP already gone past me??
should i go back and check on them?? NO??
    FF****KK!!!

so i lit a smoke and chilled out

soon they appeared and we were off into the nundle forest. :woohoo:
from the word go it was awesome :)

we got to the first river crossing and it was nice and deep, well deep enough to cool left foot as i battled across, then bang! straight up what i will call “welcome hill”  nice and steep and rocky :)
cruising up it i was wondering if everyone would make it up, it was a little tricky.
i was following Jeffro up, starting to look for a pass when the rear of his bike decided to slip and point him due west
i just went to go left of him when..LOOK OUT!! Mal nearly takes my left shoulder off as he flies past  scaring the shit out of me and killing my momentum

check it out at the 1:30 mark
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gV-YNmwDIWo

some more sweet stuff. the camera nearly gets knocked clean off my head during this one, it cracked the bracket it hit that hard…and my ears were ringing
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MzBAfjHfmI

the sequence of events are a little blurry after a week, so these pics/vids might be out of whack. tough titties!!

we got up to a lookout with a firetower on it. Boony was all excited and feeling jovial
    11092010100.jpg

if you look really close over there to the left of the bald patch, you can see Boonys shed   its the only white roof in Tammy
…see it, over there to the left…..of the lake…and hill, next to the trees :P
    11092010101.jpg

    nice fast twins…
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgDjPPhztmM

chasing Snowy… although watching it again sober, it isnt Snowy its the Dude!!…
Snowy couldnt ride that fast anyway
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXx2scLzgzY

    cruising some more twin….
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZndS02nHhSI

i had been playing with my damper all morning and finally reckon i had it tapped for rocky singles by this stage.
Jeffro has a few sideways moments before finally doing a slow mo stack into a nice soft pile of earth.. well it looked soft anyway, covered in pine needles :P
it was an awesome track, wish we had these down home :(
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehXMPMDzCBA

we came down parachute hill, which reminded me of home a bit, its a cool hill, i wish id climbed it too though. there was a little moment half way down with a log over the track in a precarious position just over a windrow.
down to do a few river crossings, one i think is now named Buzz’s Billabong   ( ive never seen anyone fit 2500cc of water into a 450cc engined bike like Buzz did ).
there was some great old bull spirit during the dewatering…..
and Damus telling us young blokes how to do it
it was different in his day

soon we hit the Berry Patch for lunch. what a place! in the middle of nowhere!
the girls their looked after us like kings :)

a feed and a fuel and we were off again, into some more wicked tracks.

at one stage i heared Mal up my clacker. i saw a big puddle and readyed to swamp him, little did i know he had ducked in behind me and PEP had copped the full force of filth  that i sprayed.
i honestly didnt know he was there aswell and Aaron had just told me at lunch how he is the master splasher and impossible to get back at
hey, i’ll take credit
PEP pulled up next to me and yelled some profanities  i looked over and he was dripping wet and giving me the bird
    it was gold!!
the afternoon was just perfect, sunny, warm and tacky, dust was a but a distant memory.
i kept asking Boony where the ‘dog on lino’ was….i was feeling a little dissapointed, that changed sunday…… 4 words, OMFG !!!!

    i gotta throw a word out to Mal5.1 ;)
Man did we have some fun, the 2 bangers running side by side for km after km, in full roost unison. with almost choriographed jumps and slides on every turn….we both had the Gonad guage in the redline
without a word, we would yield when we had to and make room again to keep the chase up  always trying to out powerslide each other.
its one thing to be riding in the zone…but being in the zone with someone else right next to you who is also in the zone….almost clipping bars…

its another level of the game

    freaky fun :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

i remember overtaking a few people, 1 each side at pace. it was a wild rush
if those peeps were anyone reading this and they shat themselves, im sorry and i owe you a beer :P

i was probably peddling a bit fast considering i was 15 hours from home…

    but hey..
the Zone is addictive

like sheep to the slaughter we were led to the final hill. it was beautiful.
no ruts, small rocks, good grip, big windrows.
skipping the front wheel in 2nd band from windrow to windrow was just plain sweet  Snowy reckons i threw a bucket of rocks at him when i jumped one :P sorry mate

i think this was Gappys hill too, where he copped a boulder in the choppers, breaking a couple and giving him lips like Marsha Hines  .
man it must have hurt. it looked nasty. i dont think it was me that chucked it.?? im sure he would have told me if it was me
i did ask him but i cant remember the answer?? what a pisswreck

i do remember Gappy wanting to throw a few stubbies at me over the course of the weekend   i was givin him a bitta shtick 😆 totally unlike me to do such a thing, i know ;)

i actually copped one in the mouth from Gappy earlier, just after the wombat obsticle, its on one of the vids, dont ask me which one. f**king hurt too, it did.

all the track were just pristine, almost groomed for us. if i had to pick a favourite, it would be the nice flowing one that we did both ways to and from the Berry Patch. heavenly it was young skywalker

i had a drag with Boonit on the way back on a dirt road…
i spun up hard and lost the start, but clawed him back by the top of 3rd, just as i took his nose…..Blawwwwwl

i ran out of petrol      F**k it

Boony thought all his Xmasses had come at once and immediately started mumbling about how we were racing to the next sign post…blah, blah
i beat you by a knob, fair and square.

    awesome!!

we cruised on home. we all was thirsty

the amenities at the caravan park are second to none. ive never seen better, especially being in nundle, the arse end of the black stump

a hot shower with a whiskey is just ace after a ride. everyone looked at me weird when i made a drink to take in the shower.
its the best i tell ya’s.
dont knock it till ya try it ;)
everyone wandered off to the pub for dinner. me and Mal sat and reminissed the ride and our synchronisation

i was still to hyped for dinner when we got over to the pub and couldnt even finish my steak sanga!
Snowy was glued to the telly with the “Ra Ra” on, (thanks for the tip Dude). Dude is right, it should be called ‘penalty’
i got bored with asking Snowy stupid questions about the rugby eventually

back at the ring of knowledge…

    the wood is wet.
some accelerant is obtained and Aaron takes charge of the firelighting
little did any of us know, he is a total firebug and actually has the video of Moto lighting the fire at Orange on his phone…
    thats worship

Aaron, created the Pizza/Burger in honour of Moto…
    11092010105.jpg

    Victory to Aaron
    11092010108-1.jpg

it was another bloody hilarious night at the ring of knowledge, full tilt shenanigans

it seemed to peter out rather early, with tired bodies retreating into the night…
Mal and the Dude backed it up for another good sip session.
    its pretty blurry.
back in the cabin we woke up the dirty bird. he came out feathers flying  gold!!

    i remember seeing 4am and thinking…

    youre a dickhead…..no, a drunken dickhead…

got to be one the bike in 5 ish hours :X :side: …….

oh dear

“Eagle, you potty mouth, shut up and go to bed or i’ll turn you into a feather Boa”
