Great day and a half of riding. :woohoo:
Huge thanks to Snowy and Boll for the support vehicle/cool drinks/hot coffee and yes even lamingtons.  B)
Thanks also to Booney, Buz, Aaron, House, Damos and any other leader and sweeps that I may of forgotten.
Day 1 was heaps of fun. Our leader had us backtracking a few times but we were never lost. The hills are always a highlight for me and Tim and we were happy to see a few good ones throughout the arvo. Sad to report that “Murphs Horn” is still a virgin :( with Damos, Rider X, Mal, Tim and I the only ones willing to have a go. I think Tim and I got to an equal highest altitude with me looping the 500 only 20 or 30 feet from the summit.  With a small route change (cutting out the LH 90 degree turn around the tree) it could become a great challenging hill. :woohoo: There was another great hill worth mentioning (don’t know what it was called) but it was long, steep, rutted and even had a rock step. By the time I topped out I was pretty pumped. :woohoo: :woohoo:
On the way back to camp Tim and I had a play on a very nice steep single which had us all but a few metres from the top again but no cigar. ;)
Top meal at the Peel Inn and it was off to bed for me (NO ALCAHOL) :woohoo:
Day 2 dawned with my head feeling unusually clear. B) We had a lot more starters for this ride, some of which I still didn’t meet. Appolligies to Rider X for stuffing up the very first hill, don’t know why I was in third gear as it was a second gear hill. :pinch: Took some pics of most of the crew at the first creek crossing and hope to have them posted later. This ride was more open and fast at times. Too fast at times. :silly:
Still it was broken up with some nice tight singles. :woohoo: Riding down Parachute a bit too quick I managed to boil my rear brakes and that was it for the rest of the ride. Fantastic lunch at the Berry Patch. :cheer: Tried to bleed my rear brakes to no avail and then it was off to ride back to camp Nundle with no rear brakes. That took some concentration.
There will be plenty of stories to come so I’ll leave it up to the rest to fill in their experiences
Thanks to all for making it a great weekend.
    Cheers

Mount Bollocks ride for 2013 is done and “DUSTED”.
Thursday seen Snowy and I heading into some of the trails for some last minute track maintenance and then setting back and have a beer or 12.
Friday dawned a ripper of a day and slowly the nomadic Oldbulls from around the country started to wander into the small village of Nundle. :cheer: B) B) B)
1.00pm and the riders brief was over it was time to go play in our local riding grounds. The dust was unbelievable, we need a drop of rain up here. Buzz led the Friday ride and done a pearler of a job. The rest of the crew done the normal Oldbulls thing and ran the cornerman perfectly.
We ran some of the designated singles and then the boys went to Murphs horn to see if it could be tamed. This was not going to happen in 2013, so bring on the next one. I will be placing a bell at the top of Murphs Horn and only those that make it unassisted will have the honour of ringing it.
A cruise back to the village and the ring of knowledge was up and running.
Saturday also dawned a ripper, i gave the brief and off we went. Snowy outdone himself at the smoko break with coffee, cold drinks and lamos. We then set off to the lunch destination, I was leading so I didn’t see any shenanigans that were apparently going on back in the pack.
The sound of 36 bikes rumbling through the tranquil forest around Nundle was enough to make the hair on your arms stand on end.
Lunch was once again awesome and I think everyone had their fill.
Buzz took the vest for the run home and I got to have a blatt on a new WR450, sweet bike and thanks mike for the opportunity to have a go at it. :)

I bailed Saturday arvo when we returned so I missed episode 2 of the ring of knowledge, but I recon most of the boys would have been rooted from running 130 ks of our trails. B)

I do wish to apologise for that bloody bike of mine causing the delays on your ride guys, hopefully I will get the issue sorted and be back out there soon getting some trails ready for the 2014 OBT ride.        :pinch: :pinch: :pinch: :pinch:

I cannot thank the locals enough. Snowy for being support car, (I needed the bloody thing both days).Buzz for leading Friday and helping out by taking over for me Saturday. Bolls for just being bolls and of course the stickers. B) Damus and House for sweeping. ;) ;)
And Barb from the berry patch for lunch. ;)
    Cheers Boony

    Bloody Kato + 1
You won’t hear that coming from my mouth too often. ;)
There was an offer to put mine on the trailer at lunch but I declined, thanks anyway fella’s.
I was never gonna let two Kato’s be trailered out of the bush :silly:
Imagine the banter. ;)
Bring on the reports. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: B)
    Cheers all

Yep, a big thanks for all the guys that organised such a smooth event. Fantastic 3 days of riding with a great and able bunch of blokes. Look forward to catching up with you on the trails somewhere shortly. Cheers

+1 and then some, big thanks to all the blokes who put the time in to make this weekend happen. First time to nundle and hopefully not the last, the boys organized a great weekend even though half the locals were out due to injury.

Thanks to Snowy and Boony for donating the couch and also to the blokes that helped pick up my crashed arse late saturday afternoon after my freestyle session.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.
For myself this has been a massive weekend. I can’t remember the last time I felt so tired and sore. I have enjoyed the whole weekend. I’m very sorry about the back tracking and the stop start nature on Friday’s ride. I hope I made up for it on yesterday’s and today’s rides.
For me the highlight of the weekend was seeing a certain Kato 250 being loaded onto the trailer and the rider climbing onto a WR 450 for the afternoon session and to see him secretly enjoy riding it was hillarious . Don’t worry Boony the Yamaha shop has plenty in stock :woohoo:
Thanks Snowy for all the planning that you did in the lead up to this weekend and all the support work that you did.
Thanks Boony,Damus, House and Aaron for leading and sweeping all weekend.
And lastly to everyone that came and rode. You guys are the ones that made this weekend rock and a great success and I hope to see you back here next year.
