Brief ride report now ( i am still stuffed)
100.4 ks of absolute briallint trails ,and what makes it even better was the exceptional crew that came along for the day.
Aaron
Damus
Buzz
Billy
Kempo.7.30 leave, lunch at the berry patch and a cold beer at the dungy pub at 4.30,,,what a day,
I think we just pre rode the 2011 hills of gold OBT ride. The trails just worked out unbelievably.1 downer was the dust,,the heat wasnt tooo bad , saying that a couple of us emptied our camel packs towards the end of the day.
The others can tell what their take on the day was,,I personally recon that ride was bloody awesome.February 19, 2011 at 10:12 pm #197051Gotta agree with you there mate I had a ball. I got my first flat ever whileriding. Can’t whinge about that I spose. We just limped it home as we were all stuffed and had no water left. The berry patch was great as per usual ,berry nice Ice cream. The big change was that a dozer had been through most of the roads going to the berry patch.
So no more Whannys log:(
The guy was very good at making erosion bumps into jumps though:)
All up a great day with only a minor slide by Kempo and things could work out for the better after the crash as he said the graze could lead to sympathy sex:laugh:  have some vids of Bill riding like a champ that I will post up later.I found one way to get to the ride earlier when i changed my air cleaner and put the YZ exhaust back on the wr at the meeting place while waiting for Boony:laugh:

Ate ridiculous amounts of unreal food (the lobster at the south steyne is to die for) drank ridiculous amounts of grog including learning how good Guiness is, also learnt that I cant play laser tag for shit and that the Sydney folk at Doyles Watsons bay dont think its funny for you to catch the pigeons that fly into the restaraunt. (must of had too many beers) Also learnt that I must have got old when I watched my four (yes four) daughters look like godessess wander off to a night club and not need dad to protect them. Although the fact that their brother and half his rugby team was their escort both eased my mind and made me simultaneously nervous. Another reason to get back on the bike and squirt dirt — I only have to worry about finding the next mudhole to load shit on boony or bollocks!
