Headed up to the forest yesterday to pre – run Nundle’s Friday Loop.
I met Damus, Ruts and Tak at the school and headed up to meet Andy, Boze and Duey at Sheba Dams. Upon arrival Tak and Ruts informed me the Damus had to retire on the trip due to a very bad head cold. Hope you get better soon Damus and we might see you on the next one.
After introductions with Duey’s family ( daughter Sophie and her boyfriend Dom ) we agreed that the trails we were going to do we’re pretty much within everyone’s ability, so we all suited up and I led everyone out to Verdon Rd and onto Snowy’s new singles. At the base of Billy’s Hill I sent Boze and Sophie on a shortcut as I thought it was going to be really slippery, but I need not have worried.
We did Back Creek and Harris Rd in pretty quick time and moved onto Snowy’s grass singles which I was not real sure on, but Boze and Ruts helped out ( thanks guys ).
After Snow’s singles came Wombat and The Old Native singles.
We had a bit of time up our sleeves so Andy showed us his single, which was good fun ( well done Andy, it’s a top little single )
We decided to call it a day and headed back to the cars via Lake Bollocks and Western Boundary.
There were a couple of cameras out there so hopefully someone will put some footage up.
Thanks Duey and Tak for sweeping in Damus’ absence and thanks everyone for coming and having patience when I wasn’t sure where the next trail was.Buzz

August 5, 2013 at 1:04 am #247555another great day for a ride at the Nundle state forest, with no rain in around two weeks the conditions were great no dust for the best part of the day and grip every where.
the group was moving quickly through the trails so being able to rest on a corner wasn’t an option for the best part of the day :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
this was the best ride I have had since riding with the old bulls, a combination of knowing whats around the next corner and bike control I didn’t fall of as much this time so my video is a little boring if you enjoy watching me pick me bike up off the ground … :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
I tried to race boze on his 530 ktm :woohoo: :woohoo: on a mian rd going towards repair corner which the wr 250 was saying to me wtf are you trying to prove>>>>> boze won …. 😆 😆 😆
im happy wth the way my helmet cam was set up on this ride, im all over it now as its not pointing at the ground as much.. I reduced the quality from 1080 to 720 as 1080 just takes too long to upload and the 720 seems to be good enough for what we are doing with it,,
thanks buzz for the lead you did great job mate, aaron for the sweep and tak …
ill try and get up there during the week and put some paint on the last part of that single we made thanks for the help on that fellas I really enjoyed the last part of this trail.. if I don’t boze has it in his gps thingy I delegate he lead this part back to the road    …..
righto here is the footage and some pics

August 6, 2013 at 10:51 am #247598Well I’m sure Sophie & Dom had a great day just the same as we all did. It was soph’s first good off dirt road ride with her ’10 310 Husky. It had been a while since she had ridden her old Honda 230 so in the deep end she go’s.
Here is some footage of Sophie sneakin up at the back of the pack.

I agree Andy, Sophie and Dom should be proud of what they were able to achieve. Water crossing, logs and for Dom a massive down hill, which I’m sure Bol will put in his Sunday ride.
