went and had a look at some of the trails we`ll be using in july, good and bad news.
good news
There are still good trails to be ridden and we can cater for all grades.bad news is the loggers seem to be cutting really wide, smooth main roads over what used to be the best simgles,I was shocked to see what has happened to the really good stuff,
Don`t panic there are heaps of good stuff left it is just that when I take yous on these new trails you are gunna think I`m joking and ask wheres the dirt bike stuff. Fairdinkum my mate could have ridden his hyabusa along then, sounds weird that I`m whinging about wide smooth trails but shirt they where boring.
I will try to find out whats going on with the tracks, maybe bollocks might know more,
anyway DRZ 1 rider thinking he has ability 0 today, will put some photos up but there boring to.Boony showing the DRZ whos boss

BolMay 8, 2009 at 8:53 am #133163will do , need to find the track to the berry patch before the organized weekend
May 8, 2009 at 8:58 am #133168its a ripper….goes down the back of the dungowan dam ,through a heap of streams and there is a weir with a great spot to stop.couple of nice steep hills to ad to the mix and plenty of little jumps to propell you into the top of a tree.
May 8, 2009 at 9:26 am #133170yeh know the wiers, do you come from pulfords road or harris road to get to them, we come down from some kind of endourance circuit with signs and everything that was from pulfords. from the wiers where do you go,
May 8, 2009 at 9:28 am #133153Where the heck is Dungowan Dam???? Near Dubgowan I suspect, but I haven`t heard of it before,,,
Dungowan is a bit closer to Tamworth than Nundle, I also presume that the BERRY PATCH is the same place the locals get the berries to make the famous BERYL`s Blackberry Pies in Nundle, and the dude from the local Newsagent/mechanic gets the berries to make his famous jam:P
I`ve sampled both & they are bloody terrific
May 8, 2009 at 9:29 am #133173start at paddys corner, just up from duncans creek, dunno the rst,my first time on anzac day.My m8 knows the place a hellva lot better than me.
May 8, 2009 at 9:33 am #133174dungowan is about 1/2 way between tamworth and nundle and it has a top pub, dungowan dam is 1 of tamworths water supply dams, check google maps for a place called oginbil and the dam is east of that, when you find it check out the terrain around it , thats where we will be riding in july
May 8, 2009 at 9:34 am #133175Dungowan dam is on the way to the berry farm…the trailbike way,not the main rd.i would imagine old Beryl would sneek down at night in her jim jams to knock off a few berrys for her WORLD famous pies .as 4 the mechanic…he probably finds more than just berrys down there in the bush!!!!

Quote:Cool, keep up the good work boyz;)trying to not get some of the real crappy tracks on our itinerary, where the young blokes start their rides from (sounds like bollocks starts there to) can be pretty steep and snotty.as this ride is being drafted as a grade 2-3.5 i need to cater for all, the tracks bar 1 today were esy grade 2 nothing hard just bloody slippery
this is typical of todays tracks
