Highlights for me
TB’s house and the preview of what a good weekend it was going to be.
Having fun chasing Rocket and axle through the singles.
The redneck twins, you guys crack me up.
The grade 4 rides, just superb, thanks guys.
Jeffro and his incident infront of the local cops.
The crap that TB and Micknmeld give each other to try and hide a deep love that we could never fully understand.
Watching guys ride there bikes with so much skill that you ended up going off line because you were In awe.
Watching ChrisT ride his 690 with said skill.
Missind the rut of death at the very last second.
Turning around and watching ChrisT hit the rut of death and power out the other side unscathed.
Bol and the auction and the money raised, awesome.
Lefty, he may be short but bugger me he can ride.
Thanks TB and Chris, many more birthdays to come I hope.
Thanks to ChrisT and Ollie for trying to help with my car, really apreciated.
All the best to Aido and his family.
And all the best to Mick, hope your leg gets as good as new real soon.Bloody awesome.

PTWPete, you’ll keep.  It is a XR thing, that until you own one you will never experience the cameraderie that goes with it. I dont think it happens in Kato world.
On another note: Many of you may be aware that I work for a newspaper. In this paper we publish a Column called “Boofhead of the Week”. Today’s edition’s “boofhead” reads as Follows;
BOOFHEAD OF THE WEEKIT would have been very funny to see.
A colleague of boofhead was on a recent motor
bike event with about 60 other similarly interested
adventurers.
With a large pantec truck in tow filled with supplies,
the group had stopped at a park when the local
police took a bit of an interest in the ‘bikie group’.
Explaining to the officer that they were law-abiding
citizens with registered bikes etc, the discussion
was broken when one of the bike boys decided to
‘throw some wheelies’ around the park.
The lawman was, apparently, not amused, particulalry
when the offending rider came off in a cloud of
dust at the lawman’s feet.June 1, 2011 at 1:18 pm #202325:ohmy: Who was that clown?

June 1, 2011 at 1:22 pm #202060Lads,
I paid a visit to Mick today in Orange hospital . He is doing pretty well. His leg is the size of a tree trunk from surgery and the accident. A rod has been put in his femur and his knee cap or patella as Mick called it,has been wired together and possibly glued also. He has a knee brace on and has crutches to move around on , which is not often. His GF Ally and mother are with him in Orange and this would be beneficial for his sanity and comfort. He has told me that he has had one shower in 4 days and one sponge bath, by whom it was not mentioned! There are male nurses around these days my friends!
He was pretty up-beat and positive and looking forwards to the future but was also apologizing for stuffing the ride of which I corrected him that we didn’t care about that. I was able to capture his image on camera and hopefully is attached to this post.
I purchased a One T-shirt from GW motorcycles at a good deal as a get well present from the OBT crew. One being we are one big dirt biking family. Flowers wouldn’t have cut it.Got him a Cycle Torque mag as well with has a review of the KTM 300 2011. He should find that interesting as his is the same. He will most likely be transferred to Nepean Hospital Thurs or Friday this week which is his home town. Bike and gear still at Mals place in Portland but he is in no rush to pick it up. Thanks Mal “can ride” and Donna for sorting Mick’s gear and piching up the van and bike. Even had a flat batt on the van!Mick,
Get Well soon buddy and don’t rush the rehab.Maybe do some more fishing with Jack. Maybe you could tag along on future camps that we do? We need a camp boy! Young Sam has been sacked as no amount of caxing would gret him to roll up my swag:angry: We could tell you all about the ride and how good we are! Watos on 25 June? Maybe too early for you. Just a thought.Cheers for now Galey :silly:

Ollie has to earn his stripes yet!!
Although after the weekend he is one step closer to acceptance.
Once he learns to start it we might consider being his friend. :laugh:June 1, 2011 at 1:36 pm #202061Lads

Ollie’s starting problems are fixed when he listens which I saw him do many a time started easy and well. We are going to do a bike maintenance day I think and cover some stuff but in hind sight he did really well on it. Going to show him same things showed you that I have learnt the hard way over the years  Then yes Mick he may pull his head out of is arse and admit it’s a better mouse trap then he has given them credit for being

Infamy, some people chase it, others have it thrust upon them
June 1, 2011 at 4:29 pm #202337Just showing my ignorance, I met quite a few new members over the weekend and am having trouble linking site names to people. First of all, who is this on the DRZ?

That is a bit ripe from a fella I saw sitting in his swag eating breakfast as we rolled out for the morning loop on Sunday.
