June 1, 2011 at 8:20 pm #202348Hey old bulls, Mick from orange hospital here.
Firstly thanks so much to Galey for helping after the accident and coming to see me at hospital after. What a great guy.
Secondly thanks to all the guys who helped get me to an ambulance and everyone else who stayed around and waited with me and kept my spirits up.
Galey was right, my femur was completely snapped and the patella shattered. Now I have a titanium rod; some screws and wire keeping them in place. No idea yet on recovery time, as it depends on how quickly the patella heals.
Looking forward to getting on the bike again as soon as possible.
Thanks for the well wishes, MickJune 1, 2011 at 8:26 pm #202355Good onya Mick.
You showed a lot of courage out there and I am happy to hear you are on the mend.
Good luck mate.STM

Also spoke to a lovely lady at Adventure moto today who took my order for a bright orange Spot Tracker ($219 0n special) and ICE usb card ($10). Perfect colour to match the Kato!
# 1 and 2 on the best sellers list! Maybe after the weekend there has been a rush on:) I told her that TB and the OBT crew gave me the heads up and i think she muttered something that I couldnt pick up:woohoo: This seriously must be the one stop shop for any Adv and Trail rider looking for their adv gear. Well done to the OBT crew for getting them on board as a sponsor and the preso on Sat night showed their commitment to our members.
Awesome pics and vids and love the bench racing even if it is via a keyboard.
Peace out
Galey
And no I don’t get stuck in mud. I have learn’t that much at least from Mal 5.1 can ride.
Hi Galey, good to know you feel safer in the world now you have your SPOT sorted mate. I missed another great ride because I was looking after a bunch of mates on bikes and we had a few incidents which kept me from getting out there even though we were in the area. TB reckons I can’t actua;;y ride and it’s all in my imagination
.I reckon one of these days i will get out there with you mad bunch and have some OB fun.
Anyway we are happy to support the OB’s and am especially glad about the money raised.
Cheers
Steve

Ollie’s starting problems are fixed when he listens which I saw him do many a time started easy and well. We are going to do a bike maintenance day I think and cover some stuff but in hind sight he did really well on it. Going to show him same things showed you that I have learnt the hard way over the years  Then yes Mick he may pull his head out of is arse and admit it’s a better mouse trap then he has given them credit for being
