Did someone say that the Sunday ride was a grade 2? The first special test had a few blokes scratching.

Strucky, way off track. Plenty of offer of help though. Gotta love OBT spirit.

I can explain what I was doing here
    P1020460.jpg

I was getting all arty and taking photos of Ol Burple. Although it didn’t quite work but you can see what I was trying to achieve.

Sunday’s trip back to Capertee from Sunny Corner Camp site.

We left the camp site with Galey at the front followed by TB then myself untill Galey got us back to where we finished the pre-ride a few weeks earlier. Once we were on track Galey had a little purler uphill single track up his sleeve to sort us all out before the ride back. Of which we had not done on the pre-ride  . So TB asked me to lead on with Galey on the harder route while he took the rest of the crew on the easier route, i thught ok why not that should be fine  . Well f#$k me I first turned into the uphill purler and stalled the f#$^*r and with my short legs on a tricky uphill, thats not a good idea, we got our crap together and got going again. :) . The only thing was that as i was in contact with TB via bluetooth when i stalled i mentioned a few expletives and TB thought i was calling him a #$@% but i was actually saying that to myself  . Then when we got to the top of the first section Galey was stopped and everyone was going left up the road so i thought that was all. Only to realise he was waiting for the traffic to pass before continuing across the road and up the hill. Well f#$k me i tried to turn around only to put my foot in a hole. and no second guess for what happened then. Yep I was on my arse!! Then by the time i picked her up a few guys were on their way up the hill only to stop a few times on the way up   then my problems began once more with those short legs. All good though i made it to the top only to stop just short of the top. :( Thanks to Galey for getting the bike out for me I was shagged. I didn’t feel too bad as Sam got stuck right at the top too, after trying to make his own line. Thanks Sam. ;)
We finally all got up and left to catch up with the others.

We followed TB back with various hard/easy routes only to find that I was nominated for all the hard lead routes  and when i questioned if TB wanted to lead the hard route his bluetooth stopped working  funny about that. To be honest i actually enjoyed the challenges as long as i didn’t make a meal of it.

However I only whish i had a camera on my helmet or bars as TB demonstrated how to perfectly execute a ghosty in the singles though the pines. F#$k me it was pretty to watch. We had been cruising through the pines only to come across a few trees down across the track, not so bad, just go round eh! Well as i came around the corner all i saw was one big mother of an XR650 launch from about 2m down to the left of the single behind a tree with the rear wheel about 3 feet in the air with no TB attached. It was a gold moment and after i checked that he was ok i nearly threw it away myself from laughter :woohoo: :woohoo: Sorry champ but the story had to be told! :P

It was a great ride back, with the odd moment or two.

Thanks to everyone involved I had an absolute blast and can’t wait to catch up again with all the crew for the next one.

    Cheers,

    Lefty
