AnonymousThe squirrel will donate 6 acorns, 4 pinecones and my second born to the OBT. So all you admin team can sit pretty on your fat arses and cry poor while all us other suckers have to put up our hard earned earnings to keep this site going, maybe if TB & Chris laid off the rums a bit they could afford to keep the site going!
May 1, 2009 at 12:33 am #131739Squirrel it’s time you were banned.
Chris:angry:
May 1, 2009 at 12:44 am #131741He is entitled to his opinion, he can look at the books anytime he likes, or anyone for that matter. Leave him he is a poor individual that seeks attention, could be english lol
After reading the above by the squirrel I take take back any finger pointing I have done towards anyone on the site, because its not someone that displays the OBT spirit

May 1, 2009 at 12:49 am #131747There’s only one bank left in this here town, and as luck (damn bugger bugger) would have it I have to got there later today, and to make it worse it’s a Bloody National too, so I guess I have no excuse but to throw some of my McMoney away so I can continue to taunt all the foolish old Orange people here with a clear conscience.

PM me mate once your done and we will give you a green light
Below is just a bump of the opening post
Since the site started 11 months ago the site costs have been picked up by Chris and Myself, these costs at first haven’t been much and we have funded the site from our own pockets and been happy enough to do so.
We purchased stubbie holders that Chris and I paid for, the stickers we had some help from Mick and Crash and Ollie and Gilli helped by donating some seal savers that they made, and we have recovered some of those costs (not all)We have received some good and bad news today, that is that OBT has grown and this is good news because it opens so many doors for all of us on the site, its easy to get on a ride with like mined people, get technical advice, deals through shops, help on all sorts of things, have a chat, catch up out side motor bikes and make good friends. And all of this is free, the likes of a Hillend Ride with a tour company would cost you $350 minimum, how do you cost 3 days at Wauchope or the up coming Caves to Caves ride. I have ridden with tour companies and they do a great job, but our rides are every bit as good, with support vehicles, great tracks and people you know.
Now the Bad news, all of this comes at a cost, we have had to increase our bandwidth where our site is hosted, previously our bandwidth has sat at about 10-12gb per month now we have gone over that and we need to increase it to around 25gb per month, this is only one cost we have, also we pay for our name registration, e mail name, server costs etc
We are asking for your help to keep this wonderful tool for us all going, OBT is registered as a not for profit organisation and will always remain that way whilst ever Chris and I own it, we don’t make money from this and our goal is for it always to remain a free site but we need help with these costs
We are asking for donations to help us pay, we know that times are tough but we want to keep this growing and remaining the way it is now, if you can spare $5, $10, $50 or even $100 whatever please help in the grand scheme of what you get in return its very very cheap if you think about it.
Donations can be made by bank transfer to the account below:
National Australia Bank
BSB: 082-774
A/C: 675433410
Account Type: Cheque
Name (if required): G Yager
Description: OBT fund 888If you wish to PM me and let me know its done and through or you can remain nameless, it doesn’t matter no one will know besides us
We will in the future have a paypal tab on the site that you can make paypal donations at any time but for now we will do it by bank transfer
All donations will be remain private
If you wish to pay by cheque or cash please PM me and we can organise it
TB & Chris

May 1, 2009 at 2:39 am #131785Great News!!! I have been out, hat in hand and have secured another MAJOR sponsor for the site.
Details will be revealed in the next week or so.
Another bike shop has indicated they would be very interested in supporting the OLD BULLS.
It will be especially good for the Suzuki snd Gas Gas camps, whether you ride in the MUD OR TAR.
There is a hint there as to who our new sponsor is.May 1, 2009 at 2:44 am #131794micknmeld wrote:

CheersMay 1, 2009 at 2:57 am #131792Cheers mate. Its funny, I’ve been involved in different forums over the past 7 years and I have put a bit of time and effort into some of them but I’ve never contributed financially before that. I think because you blokes I met on the weekend seem genuine and the site seems full of that good spirit you mention it seemed to make proper sense to.
BTW I haven’t had a look at the Old bull merchandise yet but if you guys want some great stubbie holders I bought 30 for my bucks @$5each off this bloke on the internet and they’re like magazine prints attached to insulation. I know he does it cheaper if you buy more and I reckon most people would be happy to pay at least $10 for one so it’d be a good way to get some ongoing revenue. He might even do individual one’s etc if you ask or you could do 10 with each brand to start with etc. You just send him the pic you want and the text and he designs it all for you.
site is http://www.coolaz.com.au – no connection but he seemed fair dinkum. (mine was the same as “wayno’s” on the bucks party link
I’d be pretty keen on one with my avatar on it actually
)
Cheers.
TB its appreciated mate but unless there’s no base cost (i.e unless the alloy is foreign order from a job) most of us probably already have one and would chuck it on the shelf as a spare. I’d rather a sticker or stubbie holder mate
