Can you believe your eyes! I’ve just been reading through, catching up on some posts.
Some seem to miss the whole point!
The name Old Bulls is no accident! It was named Old Bulls because we’ve all lived alot whilst learning alot.
99% of the people the site attracts are generous, helpful, considerate, honest, have a great sense of humour, don’t take themselves too seriously and couldn’t give a RATS ARSE who donates and who doesn’t!!!!
The 1% of tyre kickering hangeronerers will soon lose interest and disappear into the ether.
You don’t get anything worthwhile in this world for free!
Not everyone will be able to contribute financially, nothing wrong with that! They’ll contribute in their own way when they can – Old Bulls just get on with it.
Lifes too short to dedicate anymore brain cells and time to this topic.
Just get on with it….livin’ life!

kylie, you again get my nightly instalment of karma!

im not well known for my diplomacy or political correctness.

i too have been a victim of the “christmas party” type scenario. it hurts.

ive tryed to stay out of this thread, except for my usual smartarse remarks, but i feel its been made a bit of a farce.

i think its up to the individual, as everybody has their own views on the site, how its run, if it should cost them, etc…

i think that the admin team has done a great job so far. in the short 4 odd months ive been here, i trust that whatever becomes of all this, we can be sure, it will be for the better. admin will not let it turn to shit. they love it and want to nurture it as much as we do.

we are all old bulls for whatever reason…
and we are here because we care…
and we keep coming back because we love it to death!!

shit, i live 1000 odd kms from you all so i dont come here for the riding, (wish i could) i come here for the comradery….

coz thats the old bulls spirit.

its just the vibe of it all….(denis denito, the castle)

Holy Crap what a raucus, we just asked for a hand people there was no intention to cause a stir and to be honest we didn’t expect it, I personally have probably spent over 100hours working on this site and I have never benefited in any financial way nor will I ever, nor will I ever be in the running for any prizes etc as part of the admin team. If anything I have suffered financially for the good of the site. If you can’t or don’t want to donate that is not a problem if you can then great.

That will be all from me on this subject except thank you to those that have decided to support us in whatever way you can/have/will wether it be financial, organisation, labour, input, jokes, prize donations etc, or just being online enjoying the banter.

    Regards

    Chris

sorry chris,tb,mick, if this tread is going to continue on about who dose or dose not put their hand in their pocket.
….we may as well fling poo and see if we can get a laugh:blink:

plain and simple those that value the site will support it.
……. if telling the users before it’s too late and getting in too deep/trouble is needed well so be it.

did i say that was all from me i don’t remember.

Whereas for-profit corporations exist to earn and distribute taxable business earnings to shareholders, the nonprofit corporation exists solely to provide programs and services that are of public benefit. Often these programs and services are not otherwise provided by local, state, or federal entities. While they are able to earn a profit, more accurately called a surplus, such earnings must be retained by the organization for its future provision of programs and services. Earnings may not benefit individuals or stake-holders[1]. Underlying many effective nonprofit endeavors is a commitment to management. Twenty years ago, the term “management” was distasteful to many of those involved in nonprofit organizations because of its connotations of “business.” Non-profits prided themselves on being free of the taint of commercialism and undue consideration of the bottom line.

Wow, don’t some people make mountains out of mole hills. I’ve only been an OBT member for a couple of weeks and enjoy coming home from work and logging on to see all the banter. You guy’s are doing a great job, please keep it up. I am happy to donate to enable you to do so

You are right Bommo,it should be a simple matter of logging on and enjoying yourself.
Mountain out of a mole hill is a great analogy. What should have been a simple request is being blown completely out of proportion, I reckon. It is a bugger people go all spastic when money is mentioned.
Thanks for your support Bommo. B)
Man this caper is starting to make my head hurt and taking the fun out of the whole thing.:(
