Have you got any progress with an MRI booking yet mate???
I found it hard stuffing around with the waiting periods etc especially when I knew my knee needed surgery from my symptoms, but the specialist insisted on the MRI before proceeding (which had a 2 week booking time, then 2 more weeks to get back to the specialist) :angry:Thought that maybe if you had a good GP, you could get a referral up front to help speed things up,,,
I`m sure it had all been going thru your head already , just a thought
July 19, 2010 at 5:14 am #183954OK… I’m trying NOT to be a nagging women BUT..
Eagle is right…. just to get a referral then a booking for an MRI will take time…. get on your bike (pun… sorry) and get it organised.
Number 2 – from the pretty photo of the splint and ICE. You need to support the WHOLE leg and it needs to be 45 degrees UP. Putting your heal on a table will put pressure on your PCL – hyperextends your ligaments….
The ice needs to go around the whole knee… IE around the back as well. Ask the misses to buy the party packs of ice. I found that better plus you have plenty of ice for Rum & Cokes.
Once you are a bit mobile do you need a little project that will keep you busy in the garage????

July 19, 2010 at 5:24 am #184161Hey calm down you two (kat and eagle, Kat your a woman and eagle this confirms you carry on like one!)
I have to go to a Doctor to get a referral for a specialist right? And the first appointment with my doctor was 4.40 this arvo. They open at 8.30am I rang at 8.29am to get the appointment this morning is that ok?
This done this arvo I will then book the specialist the minute I set out of the doctors surgery OK
Kat the angle the leg is at was for me to self photo not how its been supported
Project sure is it preparing the CRF for across Australia, fitting a damper? etc I am in if I dont end up in jail for murdering nagging people

In fact on ABC Radio this morning at 6am they were talking about some recent studies on professional footy players who got on the piss after a game and how long it took them to recover. Those that didn’t touch the stuff recovered quicker. Surprise Surprise!!
Great to hear you’ve got the appointments all sorted.
mmmmm yes the bike needs some looking over before the big trip. I’m waiting on Sutto’s to order in the mounting kit for the damper. I was going to get them to install it including the new metal sprocket.
I just would feel more comfortable that I had you look at my bike before heading off. The only motorbike store I’ve dealt with is Procycles at Hornsby and they are not dirtbike focussed. Let see how the knees goes and will check in with you later. If all fails I can ask Sutto’s to look at it.
