Would have been a hell of weekend, and getting all the other halves together would benefit us all as Mick said somewhere else, anyway its all to hard I think.

Anonymousafter a good night’s sleep. the most imperative issue has been solved.
Raceytracy can cut sick on the mx track and I’ll go on the wine tour with the drunk chicks
January 5, 2009 at 9:29 pm #116882Nah thats not good, none of us guys want to be shown up by Raceytracy on the MX track, or the short circuit, or the grass track, or the enduro loops, or the hill climbs or the drinking sessions or ????

Anonymousokie dokie
raceytracy should go on the wine tour
i’ll ridei’ll bring the elsinore too
January 5, 2009 at 9:47 pm #116885Look that would be great, but it needs families etc to make it happen, but our Wauchope connection are carrying on about the distance, but as I said we can organise a bus tour for the ladies and the kids can ride legal and safe up there and there is everything for us to do, the dudes I mean.
The shearers quarters would sleep everybody, and has everything we need.
Oh well nice pipe dream
January 5, 2009 at 9:57 pm #116886Would Narrabri/Inverell be an option? Biketerritory is up that way and caters for our kind of crowd. Otherwise I would say that Louee is the best compromise at the moment. Mrs ECKS would love to meet up with some of my interweb biking friends – hell, I’d like to meet some of them myself!
January 5, 2009 at 10:11 pm #116887Inverell would be better for us but then the same problem, then arises for the Southerners where it becomes an epic amount of KM’s to get there.
I mentioned the Mudgee thing to the missus and her ears pricked up a bit when I mentioned winery tours…LOL then she said Mudgee???In June?
Wont it be #@%&en freezing?January 5, 2009 at 10:15 pm #116890Yes it would be cool, but there are massive open fire in the hall at the shearers quaters, she can wear a jumper, get pissed that works, its great riding weather.
Inverell would be as far for you as Mudgee wouldn’t it nearly?
Louee is a great place for everyone, and a massive family weekend, got a web address for the inverell place?

AnonymousChrist, you are a picky bunch aren’t you! What’s wromng with Mudgee in June? Don’t you have a jacket? I’ll do Mudgee or Inverell
January 6, 2009 at 2:20 am #116699I think this is a great idea! It would be great to have family thing for everyone.
The only thing is I’m going to be torn between drinking lots of wine with the girls on the wine tour :cheer: Or riding with you lot on the dirt, which I do enjoy greatly?!?! :cheer: For a girl, thats a fairly big decision… I don’t know what I will do…..
Seriously, I think this great idea and if you bringing your kids to ride then the girls would probably be happy to hang out at the tracks anyway.
I hope this happens sometime in the future. Champo & I have been trying to get to a riding place like Louee for ages now.

AnonymousDon’t worry about it Tracy, I too am torn betwwen wine with the girls and riding with the boys. Maybe we just cut out all the pretenses and just have an Old Bull wine day. C’mon, you know you all want too
January 6, 2009 at 2:33 am #116700There is a heap of us going to Manar on the 13 of April to the 19 of April its school hoildays so there will be heaps of riding, swimming and exploring for young and old ,I’m hoping there will be a few Old Bulls coming,Its a bit of a drive to get there but its worth it
January 6, 2009 at 2:35 am #116921I’d be OK with either Louee or Biketerritory (http://www.biketerritory.com.au/index.htm). Having been to both I think that Louee will suit families better because of the proximity to Mudgee and the wineries – in so saying I just don’t know what IS around near biketerritory so there could be all sorts of goodies there.
In terms of riding, the trails (not motocross tracks) at Louee are seriously whooped out and getting fairly flogged now, and don’t really receive any attention to fix that. Biketerritory has more trails and offers different things to Louee – like an endurocross track. They also have accomodation and motocross track, grass track so on and so forth. Blue (the owner) tends to take groups in led rides with lead rider and sweep rather than sending people out with a map and wishing them all the best. It is fantastic country, with amazing scenery and some whopping hills. The downside is that it is a fair bit further from Sydney for those folks coming from that direction.
I did a ride report last year on DBW – http://www.dirtbikeworld.net/forum/showthread.php?t=42880 if anyone is interested. I haven’t made it back there yet, but plan to do so this year.
