AnonymousGood report Ecks
How awesome did the scenery look though! I keep seeing all these rides posted around Australia and I wish I could be on every one of them. I’d make a holiday of it a travel up. Missus wouldn’t be too keen on it though I’m thinking….January 6, 2009 at 2:56 am #116926Thanks TB!

Well they did win the ‘Precious’ award from Tom at TBAM I think…. somehow that fitted really! Thank goodness you blokes are realistic about these things! I think it is the Victorian influence, actually you could almost narrow that down to just Melbourne I’d say.
All the DBW’ers I have actually met are top blokes so far.

AnonymousI agree the social side of OBT is great. We had an excellent arvo with Mick and Leesa and the little Micknmeld’s. My eldest daughter is still rapped that she now knows someone with exactly the same first and middle name as her.
It’s nice to know nice people.
The idea of a family OBT get together is fantastic although logistics maybe the hard thing to pull it together.

No where will make everybody happy
, we think that it will be at Louee near Mudgee for lots of reasons, it really is the only place that has everything we what including a pub within walking distance
, all different styles of riding and is very well priced for the three days. Also unrego’ed bikes and shops for spares are close by. Around 3.5 hrs from Sydney, less than 3hrs from Newcastle, 5 and half hrs from around the mid nth coast and around 7 hrs from the border. One of the other big sites has their christmas party in the same area as it works best they reckon from experience and they have been doing it longer than us, its still up in the air but thats the go at the moment. :silly:
