Disclaimer: As per my usual depraved ways i’ll borrow pic’s, cross link em and sometimes i’ll even crop em , if you need a big fuss made and want me to credit you let me know , if you want me to pay for them let me know and ill delete them. Sometimes i use pics from other trips as i cover a lot of the same ground, as you do.There will be quite a few commas missing and probably a few full stops also, i dont know where they go. the spulling mistakes and the shit grammar are all my fault , and the boarding school i went , well probably just the english teacher , but she sure was pretty. some of it wont make sense to some of you and id have to agree with you.

Now the main idea for me was to get to the Flinders Ranges where we ( who ever made it there plus pbee and gateshutter) were going to spend 3 days getting from Yunta to the Prarie pub on wednsday night.
but first meet up with Barra from townsville and Outback Jack from Barcaldine at the Eromanga pub on thursday night then head for Camerons Corner via the center track.
I left tuesday to see me mum in toowoombah as i went past to call in on phongie at warwick.
pissed down all the way wet and cold no pictures.
Beer and steak at phils was top’s , dry cloths and a sip of the old stones ….
next morning cold and wet again ,
the stupid chux wip pre filter i had been trialing was sodden and makeing the bike run rough… threw it away and she cleared herself back to factory specs in a couple of k’s…
made it to Morven that night,
camped at the free ground with the nomads top folk…easy but cold run on day 3 to eromanga to meet up with the Northerners, just had to avoide the sheep, goats and skips.
next day slab to nuckatunga very boreing , funny how the desert is really interesting when your on the gravel but on the tar its boreing..
made it to the pub , end of the tar , fuels up to 1.80 per litre. we will be on the sand for 700 km now yipee.
easy run down the Tibaburra road till we hit the turn off to the center track,
Closed to all but 4wd… fuck it in we go.speedway ..
got to the corner mid afternoon place was over populated with army blokes , they promised me they would take out a few trees with air to ground but they was just kidding, pity.
Top spot , great peoples, Kougar, Plonkin, Dion and Thumpie joined us for bevvies that night,,
the rest is secret…Next morning head for the O.C.R. at wannanring
did the tourist pics etc….
Lets go, this way dudes this tracks open..
The run back east through the dune’s track is like another speedway so smooth , a few water holes but easy to get around …
Tart likes to pose…
Too easy , we all stopped for a minutes silence at Bradly Holmes’s Corner.
What fun awaits us. We couldnt beleive the wind and the roly Poly’s by now it felt like it was strong enough to blow us over , The dust devils were so thick on the waanaring road that some times we couldnt see the road under us, very freaky..
Barra and i ran into pops and his mate about 30 ks from waanaring crazy buggers impossible to get a gs to do that speed with a fukin car tyre on the rear but he does it.
All good things must come to an end and we pulled into waanaring and parked at the pub..
Rumbel and Chris.
It was good to finaly get to the truth.
Big turn out but it wasnt like any rally ive ever been to. Too many tribes that didnt appear to mingle
pbee and gateshutter had already had enough and left sat arvo, i said ill battle on and meet em in tib on sunday.
had a few beers meet up with guzzi mike which probably the main reason why i came here .top bloke said gooday to claude, then i fixed a bloke from sydneys KLX for him, i hope he made it home.Sunday morning and most had pissed off at sparrows, weird.
packed up, Radd, Ted and his mate turned up ready to head for the flinders , so off we goes..
Warning: There is a big ditch at the big water hole and some deep sand 40 k out on a riseing right hander .
the sand was ok but Radd just couldnt resist the ditch , his pannier did though so we fixed that
then we needed to use a helmut shield as a wind breack to get the fuel out of the container he had in his pannier that caused the problem in the first place.
The sturt national park is pretty nice but rocky
As arranged when i got to Tibb , i put the klacker on PBees trailor and we headed off to Broken Hill.
talked to the blokes in the gas station and told em where i would be in Broken hill that night.
nice to be out of the cold for a bit, as im starting realise the further south you go the colder it gets.
sat in the cab talked to pbee and got pissed. That was my last photo, the next time i pulled my camera out it refused to work.
so all pics from now on are by who ever took em, Thanks . mainly PBee..Booked into the prearranged Caravan Park at Broken hill and paid for 4 .. Never saw them again , they never made it that night didnt make it to Yunta the next day , we waited till 12.00 once we got to Hawker i found out they turned back ….
Arrrrr…. boys what you missed out on …………..
What a place, stayed in Hawker 2 nights and then ended up down at the prarie pub on wed,
and were joined by Desert Dog and Sundowner
a good time was had by all drinkin stones shukkin oysters and eatin yuppies left over
road kill.i have no pic’s of the event ,,
Next day it was a hard run home straight up the Strezleki Track across to the Corner via Merty Station.
Fenn those beers, shoer and bed were welcome , never , never go past the corner. The next day, friday i made it to 1 km out from eromanger when the chain decided to part company with the rest of us, that took a half hour to get a link in and limp into the pub, the sprokets were fucked also so i booked in and spent 3 hours changeing the sprokets and removeing the swing arm to fit a new endless chain. thanks to a great crew there that lent me tools big lifts and shouted me a few 2 many and dinner , i love aussies.
Next morning early start, fueled up from the refinery,
and then rode 1150 km in 13 hours made it home at 8.30 sat night.5,500 km , 8 litres of oil, 70 bucks left in the bank.
do it again, sure ……………
Thank’s to all my true friends i’ve met along the way, we will meet again…
Get well soon Outback Jack….
Ran into this guy on the way home near nukatunga fuck he had hit 3 skippies and been towed out of 2 bogs near inaminka
in the thursday night storm , she sure dont look like this any more one skip hit him in the head..Mick hope ya made it home ok…
