    Paul, the flame grill your talking about is part of the Airbox, so when/If you grease the back of the filter, just worry about the outer edge of the airbox, basically to stop any crap slipping down the back, between filter and Box. I grease mine around the outer edge, though i no longer have said flame out grill as i changed my airbox.

    Yeah I prefer canola oil, it is much better than that tacky brightly coloured bloody filter oil that stuff is hell to get out of your satin sheets……..:blush:
