I’d hate to see the condition of the Vor when I rebuild it.

I’ve gone against the flow and chosen to change the oil VERY regularly, which means I’m not using the best syntheticoil available, obviously.

    Valves haven’t been adjusted yet…

Don’t be fooled by the price tag Boondog. It is like wine, the most expensive is not always the best. Silkoline 4T at Supercheap will do the job for the Narny.

Valve adjustment got nothing really to do with the oil, more the air filter whick you must look after ;)

Motul 5100 15w50 I have used it in everything I own, Chickens 600 has had in it since I got it with 4500kms on it, it has now done over 44000kms it has been raced, trail ridden and done it all and has had a clutch fitted nothing else, my 650 has just had its 28th oil change, most around 500kms some over 1000kms (just) it did the whole four day without an oil change, that’s enough for me.

Yup. air filter gets done when the oil is, which is about every 100 kays or so depending on the ride.

I’d hate to see the bore, but maybe it’s okay given that I haven’t had to adjust the valves, cause my maintenance regime is so strict. (I know what I meant to say!:S )

I have just changed the oil and filter in mine and used Motul 7100, I read on another forum that it will improve performance (no that the narny needs it). It is a fully synthetic oil I think.

Just occured to me that it might have a reccomandation in the owners manual too.
