So Chop bought a DR400 from e bay, he has decided to make it the Old Bull project bike, Fathead from Battyes quickly offered to help, a wish list was drawn up and as I write this fathead is searching for all on the list. The bits and pieces for the project are some of the norm and there are some very trick things in the mill.

Special thanks goes to my young neighbour Mick who hung around and helped as he normally does and then grabbed the plastics went home and designed the graphics that are in the pictures. We are taking them to the sticker shop tomorrow and hopefully they can make them and are able to put them on all the templates they have and make them for any bike, I know if they can I will have a set straight away, its the same place that did my sticker kit that is 3 years old and is in perfect condition.

All the people, shops and suppliers that get involved in this project will be featured on the web site in detail, so stay tuned

I would consider a front disc plastic cover like the RMX has keeps out a lot of mud and crap.
also the nice shiny lower fork legs cop a hiding and need protection I made some carbonfibre/kevlar ones for the RMX and they do a great job.
hope all goes well with the DR

I was just thinking engine side cases on the DRZ are prone to damage from rocks and the gear lever, a 2mm aluminium disc sikaflexed to it increases the strength considerably and gives peace of mind.
Also those Stainless steel oil filters that some bloke is pedalling for $50 would have to be near the top of the list;)

The engine covers are already ordered and the guy pedaling the oil filters could donate one for test and product review and then receive the benefits that go with free advertising, or he could talk to his mate the retreader and score a rear tyre for the same benefits the oil filter bloke could score, see the 5,000,000 plus hits we get every month ;) lol

    Cheers Ollie

Yellow seems to becoming the dominant colour around here.

Can tidy up the rear by replacing big ugly tail light with DRC Edge LED unit. Also the helmut lock that is still on my bike in the picture had a meeting with Mr angle grinder. things look much neater now.

Barrett system looks and sound trick but only small gain in performance with mesh in end cap. More grunt right thru rev range with mesh removed but way too loud for my liking.

    I think I see what’s going on here…

    …and I like it!

That poor thing looks like every one of my bikes at some point in their lives (usually the first few!)
    Ain’t tearing bikes down fun?

I would highly recommend Case savers, bar risers, bash plate, rad guards, S/S brake lines and MCCT.
