I still think you should have swapped from kylie’s bike, then you could have put a new one on yours when you got back and put the old one back on Kylie’s :D

Do you know how much s#@t I got myself into last time I did a swap of bits from Kylie’s bike to mine? Let me tell you it was not worth the grief.

I am going to get a new tyre this arvo – I am going to try an MX retread for this trip. On the MX retread site they say they are the bee’s knee’s and it would have to be true as it is on the internet:laugh:

Whats doing with the bum tank Jeffro?

Apparently he sent it on Monday (even though I ordered it on Thursday  ) so hopefully it will arrive today or tomorrow. I want to have a ride with before Saturday to make sure the fuel gets through ok just in case I pinch the hose or something when I put it all together. Worst case scenario if it turns up at the last minute I can just strap it on and transfer the fuel manually when I run out. All will be good though I am sure. ;)

    Jeffro,
Make sure you run a little inline filter when you fit your bum tank. You won’t have your main tank tap filter keeping the any s#%t out of your carby. I found out the hard way once and lost a heap of time with a stuck open needle/ seat at the Condo 750 a few years ago.

Dan D, make sure you get a good casing for this ride or you could be sorry!! speaking from expierance here i have had good milage from a $60.00 retread with a good quality casing and really poor milage from a poor casing. IE; A tyre that you would buy from new as a casing!!
We started buying theses retreads when they were new to the market and it makes all the difference!! Your only as good as what you start with!

    Righto all the final details

We are aiming the leave Chicken’s at 5.30am, thats the ride away time. Everyone should have by now have the start address, Boulder is going to follow Salina and myself up on Friday evening.

The girls in the support vehicle have a loaded GPS and laminated maps so they will be right. Everyone please have a full twenty litre jerry can execpt Crash and Boulder with their 30L and 27L tanks respectfully

Pack plenty of warm clothes, wet weather gear and a sense of adventure, when Kylie and Dan turn up get you bags in the car and when the trailer is swapped over they can go.

It goes without saying for a experienced group like this but everyone please have at least one spare tube, chain joiner link, levers, spark plug etc

Please keep an eye on the thread and see ya there bright and early
