Just a short note to get the ball rolling
Hope to have a few pics later
Great bunch of people, great day out
The standouts were the ones that took on Amazon but I’m sure every body enjoyed themselves.
The ride was a grade 3 mostly, with a couple of sneaky hills and one grade 5 hill. 👿
Old Girl did extremely well to make it through the day and she should be proud of herself
Thanks to everyone for coming out
Cheers
MurphMay 11, 2013 at 7:52 am #241601Good onya Murph,,

oh and thank you for all those guys that shared oldgirl duty aka. the sweeps  Especially you jeffro, I wasn’t at my best on your run …sorry :pinch:
I’m just sorting out the video’s and pics now. There were heaps of people with cameras so I’m sure there will be some good shots.
Not quite ready to write my normal ride report yet.
May 11, 2013 at 11:01 am #241627A pretty big day out on the bike today with some great trails and great people. Personally I am knackered
Thanks to Murph and Time for leading and Adam and Stu for sweeping.
I got my first look at Amazon and was tempted to have a go but with my trip to Indo coming up shortly I decided to err on the side of caution. I went there in 2010 after braking a bone in my foot on a ride and didn’t want to go through that again.
I had one fall early in the day when a stump in the grass caught me out but other than that I rode fairly well although I did take the easy option a couple of times early in the day.I must apologise to Oldgirl after talking her out of turning back to the road when she was struggling late in the day. It wasn’t long after that she hurt herself. On the plus side you rode some trails today that you probably thought you couldn’t and will be better for the experience.
I got heaps of video but the light rain and dust means a lot of it is useless but I will cobble together what I can.
I also got a new camera this week which takes up to 12 continuous shots and got a couple of good ones at the bottom of Amazon.
Tim flew a bit too high for the camera
Sorry  not sure who this is.
Rachel (not quite as flamboyant but at least you went up, unlike the photographer)

Good crew and good trails.
Good on ya Adam and Jeffro for sweep duties.Amazon
:woohoo:
May 11, 2013 at 8:57 pm #241603Thanks Murph and Old Girl for making the ride happen :woohoo:
I had a ball
A cruisey start to warm up, watched Old Girl fall over in all the easy spots (gotta be quicker on the clutch and let it slide so you can control your speed
)
Thanks Stuart for sweeping for me where you did, it’s my favourite single that one :woohoo:
I had enough energy left for a blast back to the cars, thanks for sweeping the end Jeffro
Old Girl you gotta go faster down hills, it’s the only way to keep well balanced and when you see a shitty rock or angled log like at your last crash, no front brake until your wheel is back to firm ground
Thanks to the crew for a top day out, also good to meet a few new Old Bulls
Adam.

OldGirl
You weren’t crappy, you really did fall over in the easier spots  You nailed the harder ones
You just need to do what you do in the hard spots in the easy spots too 😆
Adam.
May 11, 2013 at 10:24 pm #241647A quick video of some nice flowing singles
May 12, 2013 at 12:42 am #241649Another video.
This was late in the day on the way home (thus the song choice) following Oldgirl.
May 12, 2013 at 1:39 am #241604Well done OG
Just need to work up to a bit more speed to help you balance and then your feet won`t be so vulnerable off the pegs ,,,
You have come a long way already and should be stoked with your improvements ,
Those trails that the Murph`s have close to their place are awsome hey ??? :woohoo:Cheers
