Who can make me a needle that will take sailmakers ‘whipping twine’?
It would need a hole with a 0.5mm dia.

    Answer: use thinner twine.
I will try to get some.

I have this 1948 model 210K machine and it’s a goer, like it was new but I dont know how to set the thread tensioner.
I unscrewed the knob and it sprung apart of course, so there seems to be a tric to putting it back so it works within proper tensioning range of 0-9.
I dont know if there is a spacer or what missing, maybe not, it all looks right.
I think it is just a setup procedure.

Any one able to advise please?

Mate my ex-wife Grandfather was a singer sewing machine mechanic. But seeing I rarely speak to her and he’s long past, I guess im no help. Although I know she had some old singer machines for sale.

Thanks Ollie, I will try the thinner twine but I dont know that the machine has enough grunt to stitch the dacron.

Will let you know if I want one.
