Don’t let the title fool you
Oldgirl organized the ride
Rode for 10 minutes then went back to the car to sleep
We started with 9 then picked up 3 others in the car park  Then came across another 4 stuck on a hill  Most of us blasted past them 😆 my only thought was for Ollie as sweep that he didn’t stop and assist them unwittingly
We separated from the slow 4 only to have them pass us at an intersection where the 2 of the 3 ringins from the car park tagged onto them
The last of the 3 chased his mates but could only get one so they left us to go find their mate who was off riding into the sunset with his new found friends
So now there were 8
After that things went smoothly and we got into a rhythm and headed down some tricky hills and up twisty singles and made our way to the triangle where Teza had a crack at a hill that I didn’t expect he would
It didn’t go according to plan  :pinch: however his recovery was far better than I expected :cheer:
Then it was singles, side tracks and as little main track as possible to the valley singles where it’s nice and moist, no dust and plenty of speed :woohoo:
Murph and Mr Squiggle went up the challenge hill whilst the rest went back the lush flowing track to meet then at the top.
Then it was more side tracks and main track to the tight twisty hill single which come out half way up a good steep hill where G Mac realized he needs a tyre with grip  :pinch:
The video tells it all  He did well not to end up back down the bottom  with his bike still up the top
Once G Mac repaired his clutch lever on the side of the hill he rode the rest of the way up
On we rode with only one wrong turn  to the next challenging area. Everyone made it through however Ollie’s Gassa decided Ollie didn’t need rear brakes and spat one of the calliper bolts out  Lucky it was all up hill from there
Davis did some track side modifications so Ollie could ride the rest of the way safely
Just no rear brake
We sent Ollie on his merry way and did the side tracks and singles back to the cars where somehow we lost Budge from the middle of the pack
But all was not lost as he rode on he came upon Oldgirl who had woken from her beauty sleep
and gone for a spin up the main track to fortuitously stumble upon, and rescue Budge
I’ll let the others who witnessed G Mac’s entertaining riding style tell the stories (there was more than one  ), the only thin I can say is if you need some trees cleared give him a call

It was a really enjoyable day on the bike and no dust :woohoo: well for me anyway
Thanks guys and gal for tagging along and Ollie and Murph for sweeping.
Vid is uploading.

August 4, 2013 at 9:26 am #247521Great video Adam! Very enjoyable day, lots of fun, with a good crew. There might not have been any dust at the front, but believe me, there was plenty at the back!
Thanks to Ollie and Murph for sweeping too.
Lets do it again.
Cheers budgeAugust 4, 2013 at 10:09 am #247522I’m sure it was more than 10 min
Maybe 13  :pinch:
I promise I will not have a big night out with no food and very little sleep before the next ride :pinch:
Oh well better to go back to the car and sleep than keep riding and break something again. At least I found Budge at the end
Thanks Adam, Davis has a huge grin on his face the whole way back so I think he had an awesome time.
August 4, 2013 at 10:13 am #247523Looks like a great day.
Teza looks like he killed it and had a cracka.
Hopefully I will make the next one.
Cheers
ActionAugust 4, 2013 at 10:53 am #247534Thanks Adam for another great day in Ourimbah. Had a good time sweeping and saw plenty of Offs  ( both of Gordo’s were crackers  ) Cheers Davis for the assistance given when I lost the rear calliper bolt  I reckon we did the right thing by completely disabling it. Was a bit sketchy coming down that last red clay Hill and a 4×4 decided to pull out in front of me  Always good to be on a ride with Murph the big fella is inspiring to watch the way he finesses his way up the rocks. Teza you showed a marked improvement in your ability this ride mate, well done
Thanks Squiggle for the assist getting the GG on the back of the Triton, I was knackered and couldnt do it myself at that stage, I would of had a bit more energy but April went back early and she was carrying all the food
Great day out definatley do that again if I can.

August 4, 2013 at 11:46 am #247535Thanks to the Old Bull team for letting the 3 of us join you for a short while from the car park this morning. yes unfortunately I did get led astray by the 4 victims from the hill, but it was a nice little trail anyway LOL. I noticed a few of you had left by the time we got back to the car park, we did catch up with Old Girl who looked a lot better for a few more hours rest. Hopefully we can catch up again on another ride.
Hopefully a couple of photos will upload with this post, I have plenty of good quality video from early on in the ride, as this is the first time I have used the drift I am not sure what video editing software to use. Can someone suggest something easy to use for a beginner?

As Ollie said
If your using windows (and who doesn’t) then try “Windows Live Movie Maker”. It’s a free download from the Microsoft site. It’s basic but easy to use
Happy to have you guys along anytime
Adam.
August 4, 2013 at 9:35 pm #247538Thanks to all for a nice day out on the bikes
Had some fun especially on the more technical hills.
Swept the arvo session and watched poor Gordo come off three times within 5 minutes. :pinch:
I think some of the boys were pretty shagged towards the end of the day.
56kms in 5 hours, quite a lot of rests, but still heaps of fun.
Yes dust was an issue in rear of the pack.
Gordo at the start of his demise
Really gone.  :blush:Cheers all
MurphAugust 4, 2013 at 11:20 pm #247524Well thanks again to some great Old Bulls for another top day in the bush,,Adam for leading us through some nice trails,,Murph and Ollie for sweeping and picking up fallen bikes and riders along the way  thanks, top effort.
Well I must say I realy jumped on this ride cause Old girl put it out there, so I thought that I would just tag along taking the eazy options when need be, have a crewsy ride, enjoy the bush on a beutifull day and watch some good riders hit the hard stuff, maybe take a few picy’s
I remember thinking when O G headed back to the cars early on,,,there go’s my eazy options, and we’v got riders like Murph in the group, plus I also know that Adam dose not shy away from the nasty stuff,,some would call it the good stuff.
Daaaam! and I fergot to take my pre ride pain killerscause I’m all for performance enhansing drugs to get me through a ride :woohoo: :woohoo:
So it was,,,I told my self “OK Teza remain cheerfull ride yu hart out and dont complane, and some how DONT break any thing” I also took hart in the fact that I knew the guyes would do what ever it takes to get me through,OB spiret rite there.
So thats pretty much how the day paned out,Adam through me a few eazy options ,but not too many:laugh: I managed to get along OK and made it through most of the tricky bits geting a helping hand when needed, and the rest breaks were welcome.
The last vally single that Adam led us into was by far the most chalanging, and now strangely in my minde the most satisfying ,but I was at my limit of endurance about now.Things that I would change on that single,,,MMM,lets see,I’d Take a chainsaw to that F@#kn log/ tree on that climb out of the dry creek,,and I might fill in a couple of those rear weel catching holes on the steep uphill bits,Bastard things they are
Well I got through it,and had a great day aswell, the 310 and myself are still in tact so all good.
A big thanks to all the guyes who gave me a hand here and there, top blokes
Murph,it was a pleasier to meet you mate,,your a gentelman.
I didn’t even get the camera out, too rooted for that,so sadly no pics from me
And thanks for the compliments fellas,,,I could listen to that all day
Cheers Teza. :cheer:August 6, 2013 at 7:16 am #247550Thanks April for arranging a good day with a lot of new trails. Next time you should come along. 😆 You did miss the demoltion man in action. My new rear on the way a TRACTIONATOR enduro . I seemed to have a problem, other than falling down :side: a bit to much throttle and not quite enough grip.
Shout out to Adam good day close to home all good.
I have found that coming off the bike is not a problem. The hard part is staying on.
PS if you need any small trees taken out give me call , I’ll bring the drz. 👿
Regards G Mac
