Well I took my boys to Orange for the day, Rat has the Kato cracking and Lochie is riding his XR 70 really well at the moment. We loaded the car and left early this morning, I listened to the conversation in the back of the car on the way up and the trash talk started about Bathurst, Kieran informed Lochie like Grabbo he rides a Kato and would kick his butt, Lochie said that Ben proved he was the best on the best bike but needed to prove he was the best on the worst bike the KTM (thats my boy!)
Once we unloaded the bikes and I cut a track in they got into it, the kato proved to be very fast straight up and Kieran was riding good but Lochie was trying so hard as the below shot shows, this is a kid cornering the wheels of a XR70 on a flat corner with no berm or rut he has the suspension compressed and is wheeling it, I feel very proud of him
And him continuing from the same corner, I was taking multiple sequence shots
And here is another set of shots him riding the wheels of it again, I have always new tyres the best gear I can run on my bike, his bike has maybe the original tyre in it and he still does this on a dry slippery dirt and grass track, told him he passes me he buys his own lol
I will post some video later in the week of the boys racing, the score by the way was Kato 2, XR 1
By the way if you want to make it a KTM v Honda thread war please dont bother

March 22, 2009 at 10:52 am #126476He needs to bring his but a little further forward from apex out and concentrate on that outside elbow dropping and then he will be picture perfect:laugh:
March 22, 2009 at 10:58 am #126480Looking at another shot where he is turning the wheel, this if pushed too far will lead to front washouts
, instead push down the outside footpeg and apply more power while keeping wheels inline rather than turned and tilt away, greater corner speed will result I promise;)March 22, 2009 at 11:04 am #126481Ktmrat wrote:
