Just wondering if any OBT’ers are doing the ride on 8th/9th October?. Thought I might take this opportunity to do my first overnight adventure ride providing I can get my racks sorted.

This ride is on the same time as the Cameron Corner ride so theirs 10 old bulls going in the other direction.Looks like fun though , if you do go it would be great to see your thoughts on the ride
August 27, 2011 at 12:05 pm #207529Yep, I’m going. I live about 40mins west of Wyangala but will probably head to Sydney on the Fri arvo to be at the riders breifing 8am. Going to take the Weestrom for it’s first o’nighter.
Rode through there with a mate last WE. Dam looks really good atm. Close to 95% full.

I’ll be on the Cameron corner rideAugust 31, 2011 at 12:21 am #207944Hi Kat,
I would have loved to do this one seeing as the briefing point in Dural is literally 2-3 mins from my place. Unfortunately we are heading off to the Hunter for a Meatloaf concert on the Saturday (yep, I know it is an acquired taste) 😆
Enjoy if you do decide to go!
Cheers, TT

Love Wyangla Dam and fished the Gragine comp last weekend, the dam looks great.

MalleeMallee – you don’t need a boat when you pack a little fishing line (not sure if I’m going to get time to do a spot of fishing!!). You need more toys…. buy a Adventure Bike……… its more social plus you don’t hurt yourself as much!!

September 17, 2011 at 8:40 am #207533Hey Kat
I am still in the Uk at present, but had a ball riding round Transylvania.
We have organised an overnighter on that weekend to Bendethra on the merricumbene trail, which is an excellent practice for the type of terrain encountered on our End of year Vic high country rides. there are afew newbies coming down and I will trailer my bike down and leave it (the truck) at araluen as rescue backup. You and any others are most welcome to come and try your hand at a fully laden overnighter with all the help available. It should be interesting as it can be challenging, but one bloke is bringing his Gs.
let us know if you and any others are interested.
Ian
