Thanks boys for turning up. :cheer:
had a good day. I had no camera therefore no vision, so what happened on the ride , stayed on the ride. :whistle:Adam thanks for starting out as tour guide.
Michael, Joe, Stuart, Ollie. good fun.Micheal, I’d do the singles again just bit early in the ride. I was stuffed wresting the drz around.
Just a note I think i know what killed the horse…Cheers Gordo
September 15, 2013 at 9:50 am #249796Well that was one of the weirdest rides Ive ever been on  Thank god i am now at home licking my wounds.
Started off at the pre-arranged site at 9, a couple of guys did not show so we were down to six. Adam chose a trail and high sided his Kato :cheer: Not 1 km into the ride and I had blood pissing out of my nose  Must have been the Voltaren I had I dunno but it distracted me quite a bit, Adam I will wash the rag that you loaned me and give it back next time  We hit the normal trails and I made a bad decision going up a gnarley hill and had a little lay down, unfortunately Mike had no where to go and fell quite hard back first onto my bike He missed the foot peg by what must have been millimetres. The next few Kays were a bit uneventful I was starting to feel the effects of being unfitI may as well of been a 2 pack a day smoker trying to get some oxygen into the lungs. Headed down to a gully that has been used by some bikes for enduro practice I hit a log like a gumby and did a superman impersonation over the bars and landed on my head, Adam got plenty of entertainment out of it :silly: The next hour or so was mainly single trail going into and out of Gullies and following the tracks near the push bike tracks. Next came my greatest Gumby moment going down a little creek crossing getting ready to hit a angled log that Mike had set the camera up for  My front wheel hit a root and deflected my down into the creek bed with me hanging on for dear life, I think the pegs dug into the back of my calve as it is killing me now. Took Adam Mike and Myself to drag the bike back up the hill to where I could kick her back into life. I just about needed an oxygen mask after that episode and flogged myself getting over the dreaded angled log ( Normally a piece of piss to get over) that wasnt pretty and By the time I got to the boys who were patiently waiting for me at the top I was completely wasted. Adam was feeling a bit sore from an over the bars moment he had a little earlier and suggested he may head home I was quick to offer him an escort  so we headed back to the cars, where Adam helped me load up. Then I made the quick trip back down the F3 to Hornsby and had a hot shower and a nanna nap before watching the knights take on the dogs. A good day
Thanks Gordo for organising, Adam for leading and the other lads for being there to make it a great ride. 3 2 strokes and 3 4strokes :woohoo: Im going to bed :laugh:Ollie

Hi Guy’s
Thanks to Gordon for posting up the ride, and the rest of you for joining in the fun.
Here are a few pics,no GoPro vid I had it on the wrong setting
Ollie are you sure you want to see your very own funniest home video?
Cheers MichaelSeptember 15, 2013 at 12:14 pm #249799Thanks for organizing the ride Gordon
and Stu, Michael, Tryhard and Ollie for making it an enjoyable day on the bike
I was going really well, not tired no poor decisions generally a really fun time :woohoo:
After our break everything went pear shaped :pinch:
Twice falling over on a small track I’ve never fallen off previously
Then after loosing Ollie and regrouping I decided to go sweep.
100m into the simple single I watched Ollie ride down a rock followed by Tryhard who rode around the rock so I decided to ride over the rock too. However the bike decided to ride over me
I face planted another rock as the bike ploughed into my back  The armour really did it’s thing I felt a lot of weight and my back bent backwards then the armour reached it’s limit and the bike kept going. My only injury being a corked lower thigh :pinch:
The hassle was being by myself trying to retrieve the bike from behind a tree on the bank
I rode for a while longer into the gully with my thigh slowly swelling, following Ollie.
Thankfully I didn’t follow him into the gully before the log, it looked spectacular and scary at the same time
Michael and I helped him out and we rode out of the gully with me retiring early eagerly assisted by Ollie who was also a bit battered by this stage
The only video I got was of Tryhard who wanted a second go at the hill
You’ve gotta love the bark of a Kato 530
