The four of us met up at Ourimbah car park for the 7am start. Beautiful sunny day with no hint of the forecast rain.

So off we went through Ourimbah State Forrest doing some single trail loops off the main trails.

After Ourimbah we motored down to Yaramalong for fuel and a chat with some hung over teenage girls who liked Tryhard’s Yeigermiester bike graphics. Up the hill we went to nearly the Letter A where we hit single trail again where I found a fallen tree for us to practice our bike dragging skills……sorry.

Justo found a rock that bashed in his brake lever but thankfully didn’t go through the case

Once over the hill to Millfield for a fuel up, latte and jelly donut, we transported to Pokolbin SF to hit the singles.

I stopped to regroup only to be handed my bash plate that had fallen off. Thanks guys. Cable tied it and off we went.

If you run out of trail snacks there’s plenty to nibble on. Not sure of the effects though.

We fuelled the bikes and bodies at Millfield again.

My four stroke nearly used as much oil as the two banger!!
After talking to a fella who invited us to drop into his 1000acre property backing onto the Watagans for a spot of riding we headed out through Paxton to the north end of the Watagans.

Tryhard was taken out by a vine around the handlebar and by all reports he hit the ground hard. A bit of claret on the elbow and sore wrist and hip so very lucky I reckon.

Time was getting away from us so we main trailed through the pines and to the start of the koala track where it was pretty dark down at the creek.

A few more single trails to the basin then fuel at Yarramalong again
    DSC02778.jpg

Tryhard roaded it from there to home and we continued through Ourimbah SF back to the car park at 7.30pm.

All up 300km. Great ride, great company, great day.

    Thanks to all.

Well Saturday’s ride lived up to expectations, it was a big one!

    Started @ 7am, finished @ 7.30pm.

300 Kms! Definitely the most number of kms and areas I’ve done in one day.

One sore arse and 3 blisters on each hand. I think I need one of those soft seats and some new grips! But hey, that’s what it’s all about.

Thanks Lotsa for organising and leading, I really enjoyed it.

    :)

    Hi Lotsa,
Great to see you had an awesome ride :)
Did you take them down to the creek near the pines (jurasic park maybe) and does it get any easier the more times you do it.

    Maybe the next one
    Cheers
    HS.
