I got the word from Jacko that the CT results are in and he has fractured a vertebrae and injured a disc in his lower back. No damage to his spinal cord so it will be a lot of physio and he will be back to normal. Well his version of normal anyway
Get well mate!STM
September 11, 2013 at 12:33 pm #249558Gees us Nick that’s just WTF sorta stuff, your so lucky, like TB said listen to the doctors and later on get a exercise physiologist ( they are specialists in getting your muscles toned back up as you will loose muscle tone very quickly, I have been seeing one for the last eight weeks and my back and leg/foot are improving unbeleavibly the pain is way down and core strength is increasing and using on small weights on specific muscle groups
but anyway all the best get well soon

September 12, 2013 at 1:11 am #249639Yeah that’s a nasty incident. Look after yourself. No wonder those mowers have roll bars now geez.
September 12, 2013 at 1:13 am #249562Well at least there is some good news. Could have been much worse with that speed and weight and you might have ended up underneath the very dangerous side. Wish you all the best for the recovery.
PS

October 27, 2013 at 5:58 am #249665Well it is almost 7 weeks since the buster and the physio gave me the all clear on Friday to go for a trail ride :woohoo: strictly no motocross though , but any ridings good riding after this amount of time.
Especially that it was probably dirt bikes that kept me out of a wheel chair .So without delay I hopped on the 450 today and hit my home trails , it’s amazing how quick you forget and injury and wind it on !!!! I only did a short stint but it felt great to be back on the bike !!
When’s the next Noosa run Mike ???
