Boony Gaz asked me to post these for your, just for you. He said its how your Banana should look if you clean it properly after a ride (we should have ridden it thru the mud at the poker run Boony  )
Yeah it does get ridden, but also gets a good clean
I have it here to do some work on it. The forks are out and at Teknik’s to get setup for the 28 litre Safari tank Gaz has bought. They will get a re-valve and springs. I picked up a new rear spring that I will fit to the shock tomorrow morning. The steering head bearings will get greased as the factory does a shit job and all back together for Gaz to take to Vic next weekend

January 6, 2011 at 11:14 pm #194014Hey Boonsta, Doesn’t look to bad does it. Happy to let you ride it through the bog hole on the next Poker run. It won’t matter how dirty you get it, as it will always come up a treat.
TB did say that it needs to be thrown down the road though.
Cheers Gary
January 7, 2011 at 3:00 am #194015I’m not riding with you Owl. You must never fall off. I can’t see a scratch on the plastics anywhere. I thought I did a reasonable job cleaning my bike but it is filthy compared to that. Even the header pipe and radiator hoses are pristine. What’s the secret to you technique. Name those magic products you use.

Its new enough but he goes the extra yard cleaning it and it is possible, you only have to look at the dirty crud covered exhaust I sold the Mayor, a little elbow grease and wow.

January 12, 2011 at 4:29 am #194016Ok,
TB is putting the DRZ back together with the Tekniks forks. He has also done the rear spring and greased the steering bearings. We may even get time to fit the new safari tank in the morning. Greg has come across a set of panniers and bags at a good price. The seller says they will suit a DRZ400S or SM. The question I need answered is, will they go on my DRZ400E ?Can anybody help me here.
Cheers Gary

It wasn’t cake on the headers TB sold me it was freaking Terracotta.
January 12, 2011 at 4:38 am #194481I am pretty sure they bothe use the same frame just different suspension and stuff so they should fit. If not it would only be a minor tweak to make them.
January 12, 2011 at 4:40 am #194017Good one Jeffro Thanks

The Oz DRZ400E pretty much has the S subframe without pillion peg mounts. This subframe extends further under the rear guard to support the extra weight of the rear guard extender and tail light/indicator setup. The US E model does not have any of this shit thus the subrame stops at the seat/muffler mount and can’t support rear racks.

I will post some photos of the steering head bearings before I packed them, they had no grease in the them. Honestly Suzuki should be shot there was nothing in them, will post the photos later
