first thing boony push on the caliper to open it up .there should be a bolt going through the pads undo it and they should pull out .on my yamaha you had to undo a screw (a cap to keep the dust out )and the alen key bolt was behind it.have never done a narny so sorry not much help.make sure the brakes are opened as far as thet go and put the new ones in. have a go its not hard

reckon you got a good run out of your brake pads to last this long

um i’d guess you’d start by unbolting the calipers.

then i have no idea from there on a Suzi….

i guess there’d be some small ‘R’ clips that hold a pin that’d hold em in place.

any harder than that and i’d trade it in on orange;)

check here for an exploded view of the rear http://www.mrcycles.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?section=300265&category=Motorcycles&make=SUZUKI&year=2005&fveh=7242

it shows where the grub screws are that cover the pins that hold the pads in place. ;)

Don’t take the caliper of Boony

There is a bolt/pin at the bottom of the caliper, the bolt/pin goes through the bottom of both pads. Using a large screw driver carefully between the edge of the backing pad and the disc push the pistons back into the caliper. Remove the bolt/pin and the pads will fall out. Get the new pads and locate the top in the caliper and them refit the bolt/ pin, pump the brake up until you have a normal feeling brake and happy days.

Its the easiest maintenance job on a bike really

There is a cover screw over the actual retaining bolt like White Rocket said from memory. You need a screw driver to remove it, then an allen key to remove the retaining bolt. Pull the pads out, push the ram back in, fit the new pads in place (you need to hold them until the retaing bolt is back in and Bobs your half brothers cousin.
