O.K those in the know what is the best paint for motorbike bits, I recently re-did a pw80 and some pw50 rims, used the DULUX version of rustguard over bare metal, no primer and it seems to be pretty tough.. Anyone know of anything better short of a 2 pac.

Chris short of using the PJ1 paints found at the bike shops which are a single pac epoxy and very good have a look at these guys especially if you are into bling http://www.ppc.au.com/restoration.htm gives a rockhard spray finish with a brush, its very good.it uses moisture to harden unlike other solvent based paints.

Somehow I knew you’d respond Ollie, thanks I’ll check it out, I’ve heard of PJ1 but haven’t been able to find it.

Ollie yeah I just been reading there web site, sounds like good stuff, I have my suspicions about getting a spray finish with a brush, but hey what do I know, do you know anything about anondizing or anyone that will do small jobs.

    Cheers

Another one for PJ1. A guy I know does car resto’s and he uses it. If you’d seen how some of the cars look when he’s finished you’d be converted.
