G’day Cranky, I have a lifestyle property just down the road from both and have ventured into the State Forests a few times. Very clearly signposted Fire trails, good riding but as yet I have still a lot more exploring to do. I have been trying to get onto the Bathurst office of the state forests to possibly access a map. Always looking for people to catch with an ride out that way.

    Where are you located?

What do you ride mate? KTM 525EXC here:)

Done a couple of rides at Pennsylvania SF before could find my way a bit but not well enough to discribe here. The bloke that took me out a few times when I lived in Orange doesnt ride anymore (races go-carts now) so he cant help.
Bob may have been out there he may chime in

I did a lot of riding in the area, from the mid 80’s to around 2002 (grandfather owns kempfield NE of trunkey) Theres not a lot in pensylvannia, mostly fire roads however as you get closer to copperhania NP we used to have a lot of single trail cut in (about a 60k loop), I’m not sure if its still there, I last rode it 2005 so it was still open and clear then (I think a couple of locals use it regularly) the ride down to hells hole used to be a cracker, lots of erosion ditches and fun climbs I think its all nature reserve though so I’m not sure of the legalities riding down there… For memory theres singles near the sugarloaf mine as well.. Good luck

    Yeh i’ve been dobbed in

    I live up the road

    Thanks TB

The last Maps I seen were too old and useless ,unless you know the area your better off without them.

There’s a few tracks in there scattered all over the place and not linked up , I,ve put more in and still stumble across the occasional new one,

There is another crowd that put more in on The Roseberg side

Hells hole(copperhannia) is National park so you know what the go is there , there’s also a lot of locked gates and private property as well as units with orange beanies and guns

like all areas you will cruise around all day on fire trails and ride past all of the singles

    riding HUSKY 510 ,
found this link for maps, would be worth the $25

I haven’t ridden for a couple of months, just to busy.

G’day Pete, 36acres with a comfortable shed. Keen to eventually move out to the property full time. Get out there every other weekend, if not at least once a month. “Life style” is the country change, love the bush as many do, relaxed tempo and without the hustle bustle.

Hearing you on that one Bob, better to just explore and get familiar.

Sweet, just checked out the site, thanks Cranky.

I don’t know the area specifically, but in terms of mapping, there is a website through the Department of Lands (or whatever they call themselves this week)

    http://imagery.maps.nsw.gov.au/

You need a plugin to run it and I haven’t been able to get it working on Google Chrome, but it is a ripper for checking out bush tracks. You can turn on land boundaries (cadastral features) and a heap of other information, as well as display the NSW topo maps instead of the aerial imagery. Well worth checking out. Coveres all of NSW, with aerial photography of varying ages and usefullness!

Vidoz, if you need any help with Council etc for the house on your block, I’m a surveyor and work in the region all the time, happy to help out!
