I like pies, they are good!
So this thread is to share the pies, share the love!
Post up your local bakery or pie shop, your pick of the pies!
My first choice would be Diggers(? – it was a long time ago now!) in Albany Creek, Brisbane.
But locally, Macquarie Bakery is the best option, not the best pies anywhere, but the best in town. Only 7 varieties and nothing flash, but better than the alternatives.
We used to have a great bakery called Kimbells, but they have changed to a cafe now and don’t make their own pies (as far as I know anyway). Shame.

AnonymousIf your going to be in the Lake Macquarie area go to the Boolaroo Bakery for a pie and sausage roll. They are some of the best that I have had.
Also the pie shop at Shortland does a great seafood pie.
October 15, 2009 at 2:19 am #156614There is Pie in the Sky at Cowan NSW, on the world famous Pacific Highway just before it decends to the Hawksbury River.
Now that’s a pie, good coffee and apricot pies too.
Bike riders only there on the weekend and plenty of us too.

racy and i tried to go to pie in the sky a couple of months ago. we gave up after heading as far south as train station. i think we were just short of it.
we went to road warriors instead (or what ever they call it now)
the pie dude at the farmers markets gave us a free apricote pie for desert on sunday. very yummy. i’d be willing to pay for one next time.

Anonymoushey beemie. when kylie get her dr sorted, we could go on a motard ride to pie in the sky. we will pick you on the way.
sadly my favourite pie shop is on the isle of sky. the guy who told us about it said that if you spend more than 5 pound you would not be able to eat all the pies and cakes you would get. despite them being the best pies ever, i struggled to eat the 5 pound worth.

Dan will have his motard bike by then and I bought a set of motard wheels this morning for the fiddy that I hope to have in a couple of weeks ( I will also be loaning them to someone for use
) and I hear from a little birdy another punter is looking at a set as well for his big tyre shredding bike
Maybe a new forum one day
Best pies are from Harry’s Cafe De wheels in Sydney I reckon, with mash, peas and gravy

They do look cool hey – almost makes me want to get some for the WR.
But it probably wont happen due to the WR not having an endless line of credit like the DR  did I type that or just think that
October 15, 2009 at 4:38 am #156624Glenn Innes bakery, in Glenn Innes make a Ned Kelly pie so damn good i had to stop and ring my Wife and best mate up and tell them about it as I was eating (them)
