I must say, being Old Bulls I figured we would be a veritable gold mine of info on pies! All good info so far, keep it going! Maybe we can do an Old Bull Australian Tour of Pie Shops!

October 15, 2009 at 10:25 am #156679The Wurlitzer pie shop on the Pacific Highway at Woodburn does a great pie too. We always stop there on the way to Brisbane. And of coarse the Freddo pie shop at Fredrickton churns out a good pie as well.

AnonymousI’m keen to go out with the motarders (I have another word for them but I don’t want to cause any unnecessary controversary. Champo might remember my term for it). I was talking to TB today and said that we need a motard section on the site for us all.
But let’s not be cruel and limit the ride to the motarders only. Road bikes are welcome as long as they don’t mind looking like second rate bikes compared to our spiffy ones

Anonymousgood thinking kylie, but we’ll leave the vespa and nifty 50s at home. they are more your back street pie bikes.
racy’s vespa even has a pie warmer under the seat. great for picking up pies from cardiff to take to hillbillie’s workshop. can’t recall the shops’ name (federation maybe) moto: you know the pie shop i’m talking about
a mate used to have a pastie pouch on the rear guard of his xr. until somebody
stole it: the xr, not the pastie. we ate that: the pastie, not the xrOctober 15, 2009 at 8:45 pm #156760
AnonymousI do like my pies! I do like this thread too, good thinking ECKS!
I have sampled many a pie from many a place but some of the best have been from Red Neds at Nelson Bay. He does all kinds of pies and has won lots of state and national awards for them which are displayed on the walls of the shop.
A must stop if your in town
